The Porta Brace TS-50A Tripod Shellpack Case (Blue) is a 1000 denier Cordura padded case with an armored interior shell. This is a very rugged case, which can be used for everyday field work, but will also withstand the rigors of extensive travel and shipping. It has a quick-release wooden handle with a padded grip that makes for very comfortable hand carrying, and backpacking shoulder straps for hands-free carrying.

I fly a lot with equipment and I really need to feel that I can drop it off at check-in without worries about the gear being smashed to pieces on arrival, enter the TS-50A. About 10 inches longer than I really needed, I still bought this case, thinking that I could stick cables clamps and other stuff in it. It works really well and it protects your tripod and head better than anything
I´ve tried before. It has a backpack harness wich is a good feature, and a cover for the carrying handle, protecting it on check-in, also a cool feature, it does take a few minutes to get this case flight-ready if you just spent a day actually working with it, but it´s worth it! Your gear is protected by a hard, light shell wich seems to be able to withstand a lot of abuse. On a recent job here i Europe involving 6 flights in 10 days, I managed to pack it with my Sachtler 2-stage CF legs with a Video 12 head, 2 light-stands. 100 ft. of electric cable, assorted clamps and other little bits and pieces, it has a lot of zippered pockets All in all a really great case! I have one negative comment though, Portabrace pushes this case as a "travellers case" there is no obvious place for the destination tag at check-in though when the case is covered up for flying...
