Was used as a backlit surface for a trade show exhibit. Works on batteries and supplied wall-wart power supply. Was lit for 8 hours a day for 3 days with no problems. Runs cool. Compact size. Worked very well, but I would have liked it to be a little brighter.

I hoped to use the viewer to sort 35 mm transparencies, and it seemed nicely designed for that purpose. But, the batteries run out before I can get through a sorting session and the AC adapter will not plug into the unit. It looks like it should, but it will not go into the jack. [...]

My main use is for mounting medium format 6cmx6cm 3D slides in special frames. The light is bright and even over the whole light area. The texture of the lighted surface reduces chance of scratching film against dirt grains. The protective carrying bag is very useful. The whole device gives an impression of quality. The plug in power supply saves batteries, which otherwise would be used up fairly quickly. Bulb change must be done by dealer.
