The navy 515 Compact Zoom Pak Holster Bag from Tamrac is designed specifically for most film and digital SLR cameras. It will hold an SLR camera with a lens attached (up to 4.25" long). A large, zippered, front pocket holds memory cards and batteries using Tamrac's Memory & Battery Management System that uses red flags to identify available memory cards and batteries from ones that are used up. A pocket inside the top holds items like filters, memory cards, lens caps, and cleaning tissue. The shoulder strap is adjustable and removable so that the bag can be carried on the belt as a holster.

I thought this product was particularly well made from stitching to handles.

Comments about Tamrac 515 Compact Zoom Pak Holster Bag (Navy):
This case is perfect for carrying my DSLR camera with main lens to social events, etc. Slings over the shoulder nicely and doesn't take up much space. Compared with other holster-style cases I've seen this one has a clean design with no annoying extra toggles, bits of elastic, etc to catch on things.
The zip is really smooth and the toggles on the zippers are easy to grab, so I can get the camera out and start shooting in a matter of seconds (I just have to learn to get the lens cap off faster ;) ).
The modular system has already proved useful as I bought a pouch for my second lens that just straps on the side. Lets me carry what I need without the case system being any bigger than it has to be.
Don't underestimate the length you need though. My Sony A300 with the 18-250mm zoom and lens hood attached just fits nicely. By looking at the specs before purchase though I expected to have more room in the bottom of the bag for additional accessories. The ability to expand the case with the modular attachments took care of that problem though :)
There is still plenty of room for those small items like cleaning cloths, memory cards & filters.
If you're looking for the minimal, travel-light solution, this case does just nicely :)
