The Altman SC36BK Safety Cable for Inkie, 65Q, 165Q, iKAF and many other lightweight fixtures is a black steel safety cable for added safety when hanging almost any Altman or other manufacturer's light fixture from a C Clamp on a pipe or grid.

Steel cable with a 1/4" clip on one end and a loop on the other
- Thread it around a piece of hanging equipment and around a support structure, such as a pipe or a batten, and then clip it to it's loop
- Provides backup support should the primary support for the equipment fail

Seems to be of solid construction, I have one of each of my par-56 cans. Of ourse this is an essential safety measure for all hanging lights, if for no other reason than the safety of the people below.

These safety cables work great on all types of fixtures. They are long enough to work with fixtures when you need to mount them in unusual positions such as on top of the light bar and your power whip is a little short.
