The product photo isn't correct. The gauge of the wire is TINY compared to the photo. I am sure you can find a much heavier duty safety cable for about the same price. I elected to not use the ones I bought.

Ordered several of these for securing remote lights and cameras, but they are definitely not the same ones that are shown in the photo. The cable is a much smaller gauge, and the actual clasp is wire, rather than the snap clasp or latch as shown.
Instead of using these for my original idea—securing a strobe assembly—I decided to use them to secure my reflectors to the strobes. They work great for that task as they're small and lightweight and stay out of the way, but I would never trust them to hold up an entire strobe. They definitely have their place and use, but don't look at the photo as a good representation of the product. I'd recommend them, but I probably wouldn't want any more than a pound or two hanging from these over my head.

The photo makes it a lot larger than it actually is. The actual cable is only about the diameter of thick mechanical pencil lead. While I'm sure it can hold a reasonable amount of weight, the price is not effective. You could build four, with equal fit and function from raw cable as you could buying this product.
The clip is a weak point, and would be the first thing to fail.

I use this as extra security when I put speedlites on remote clamps and also my camera when it is attached to my monopod (quick release). It is extremely flexible and unobtrusive. It is thinner than I thought it would be. Probable around 20 gauge or so. I suspect it will support around 4 lbs.
