Altman Soft-Lite Jr Fill Light - 1000 Watts (120-240VAC)
The Altman Soft-Lite Jr Fill Light is a compact, lightweight indirect fill-light. It provides a very soft even wash of light. With a virtually shadowless beam, the Soft-Lite Jr. will uniformly illuminate an area 20.7' x 19.3' at a distance of ten feet with a center intensity of 35 footcandles.
The Soft-Lite Jr. is designed to operate double ended tungsten halogen bulbs up to 1000 watts. This black enamel finished aluminum fixture is ideal for confined spaces in the studio or on location where high performance, indirect, soft fill light is required.

- Face of the fixture is 12.75 x 9.5" , good for a 1-person portrait or small tabletop setup
- Choice of bulb wattages up to 1000 watts
- Spigot may be ordered for stand mounting to a 5/8" stud. Hanging is possible with optional C Clamp.
- Provides a horizontal beam angle of 92° and a vertical beam angle of 88°. Horizontal field angle is 115° and vertical field angle is 135°.

Soft-lights are essential to evenly lighting a room, and this light does just as it describes, with a compact design packed with many useful features. The pop-off bottom makes lens replacement a breeze, and is aerated sufficiently to spread out heat transfer. The yoke knobs lock down tight, and the included gel holder is a nice added touch. Be cautious of your intended use for this product, as it doesn't come standard with a 5/8 Baby Receptor. So if your intent is to mount this on a light stand, make sure you specify the receptor you need, or else a Yoke to Baby adapter is required (a smart option if you need the versatility of mounting between a baby stud and c-clamp).
One disadvantage this light holds: there is no power switch, so striking the light is limited to plugging in and out of an outlet.
Bottom line: An effective alternative to pricier brands, with useful features that make the unit highly versatile.
