Comments about Altman Soft-Lite Tungsten Light - 2000 Watts (120-240VAC):
Everything was just as described - Huge expanse of soft but powerful light. Amazing as filler light on the outside wedding shots, and gorgeous inside for all 'reception' shots. Completely even light on large groups. I had been warned by other photographer's not to buy the inexpensive lights that melt after one use. This was worth every penny - even transporting this very large light on the plane was well worth it (fit in a large duffle with foam wrap.) Used the light on and off for 6 hours - lights are still burning bright. Does require a 6' tripod - I used a speaker tripod - we modified a 'cap' to place on the top of the tripod pole and then screw into the light. Small camera tripod will not hold it, will not be high enough.
