Altman Fresnel 300, 500, 650W - Pedestal
The Altman 650L-HS Fresnel Light serves as a 650W, 500W or 300W small key, backlight or kicker. This standing light features a clam shell door, a pipe clamp and a 25' cable. The 650L-HS has a 112mm standard focus lens, safety screen, and fits a standard 5/8" stud. This light accepts all standard 6-5/8" accessories.
Also available for this unit are 4-leaf or 8-leaf barndoors, a 3-in-1 snoot set, and a full complement of scrims. This light also comes in a hanging mount version (650L-HS).
This fixture is equipped for 120 Volt AC operation. It will also function with 220 AC Voltage, with the appropriate bulb and plug adapter, available separately.

Get the Arri's. They are worth it. We purchased 3 of these Altman lights and within 6 months we had to replace the sockets in all three. You CANNOT buy these parts from B&H. We had to call the mfg. to order them. We got the run around several times, but once we replaced the sockets they have been pretty solid. So, bad or cheaper parts in the stock units? I don't know.

This unit is used for field production: corporate, ENG, commercials etc..
I've used Arri's for a long time, I prefer these for a number of reasons. The price is right (especially given currency exchange rates) , they are USA made, well made and I prefer the clam shell door for lamp access and cooling. It is so much easier to open.
Oh- and they are cool looking :-).
The only drawback compared to Arri's is that they are a bit heavier.
