Comments about OP/TECH USA Hood Hat, Mini:
I bought this Hood Hat for an older Nikon FieldScope and it works great. It isn't the easiest to put on and take off because of the snug fit, but once on it protects well.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Hood Hat, Mini:
Great for covering and protecting lens when traveling. Works well as a cap for odd dimension filters, such as some polarizers, when in place on the lens. The sizes differ by about 1/2" diameter; often close enough for a snug fit, but I have two lenses where the cover is sufficiently loose to fall off without a retaining string. A quick release snugging area on the hood would be nice.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Hood Hat, Mini:
I hate the standard Nikon lens cap and when in the field they are less than easy to deal with when you need lens protection AND super fast access. This product solves the problem and I intend to buy one for each piece of glass I own. They feel great, look great and work great. No negatives to report.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Hood Hat, Mini:
Op/Tech's hood hats (or lens koozies, as I like to call them) are a definite plus and I have one for each of my larger lenses and a mini-hood hat I use as a cover-all for smaller lenses when I'm carrying my camera but not using it. I like that they're dirt-proof, somewhat waterproof and easy to use and stow when working. The only thing I would advise is buying a hood hat that fits snuggly rather than a bit loose.
I'd say it's safer to buy a smaller size than suggested because it order to do its job properly, a hood hat must seal off the area surrounding the front lens element - a loose one just won't do the trick.
No real cons. If you lose one or if it gets worn out, you won't be out a huge amount of money and it's easy enough to buy another as a back-up.

This is a good accessry for a lens hood. Looks good, fits great, gives good protection for the lens hood as well as the lens.
