The Bino/Cam Harness from Op/Tech self-adjusts to comfortably balance a binocular or camera while in use or in the idle position against the body. The loop attachment system enables the harness to quickly snap in place.
This is the elastic version of the BINO/CAM harness. The straps keep gear snug against the body yet they allow the camera or binoculars to be brought up to the eyes for use.

I took my Canon 20D with a Sigma 18-200 zoom cross country skiing and snow shoeing in Colorado. The Op/Tech harness kept the camera accessable and steady right in front of me. Coupled with a Zing Large Zoom SLR Reversible Camera Cover with waist strap the camera and lens were covered, protected from moisture and snow, and ready to shoot in about 5 seconds. I've also used this harness biking and hiking. With the harness alone there is some camera bounce, but adding the Zing cover and waist strap solves that problem nicey.

I use this strap for a Canon SlR and heavy lens when I'm walking around all day. Once it's adjusted properly you can move the camera easily along the front straps to shoot, or quickly remove the camera entirely from the strap. The length adjustment sliders have to be in the right place otherwise you will sit back and have them press into your back.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Bino/Cam Harness (Elastic Version):
I've been one of those you see with the camera or binoculars flopping around on the trails. I finally did a little web research and found good comments on the Op/Tech gear. In my case it was the OpTech Bino/Cam Harness. Little to say other than it does its job well. No more getting slapped around by the binoculars or camera when I'm on the trail and scramblin' around the bush and rocks. Easily one of the best, inexpensive buys I've made. GET ONE.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Bino/Cam Harness (Elastic Version):
This is a comfortable harness but the rain guard for my leica 8x42 binoculars can't attach to the strap. Where the two binocular attaching parts pass through the strap holder then through themselves to hold, the remaining length of cord stops below where the rain guard would be fitted so it could be moved across the binoculars to stop rain.
Other brands of binoculars may not have this problem.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Bino/Cam Harness (Elastic Version):
I just got this and am very happy. Some reviews said it was difficult to install on the camera, but the photo and instruction on the package were clear and easy to follow. It took only a few minutes to put it on my camera. The D90 and 70-300VR were a snap to carry and my neck felt fine. I am probably going to get another one for my other camera. This is one product I recommend.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Bino/Cam Harness (Elastic Version):
Carrying my Nikon D90 with a 16-85 zoom lens on this harness is extremely comfortable! I used to carry the camera around my neck, which caused me neck pains. Now I can carry the camera all day without discomfort, and it's secure and always ready to use.
Before buying the product, I was concerned about the durability of the elastic, but now that I own it I can attest that it is very high quality, and I expect it to last for years.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Bino/Cam Harness (Elastic Version):
Simple design and it does just what it says. The packaging comes with virtually no information, but it's not difficult to figure out how to connect and adjust it to comfort. I passed on the much more expensive variations by other manufacturers but so far, i'm nor sorry for the choice.

This harness has save me a lot of neck tension and money. I did not use the neck strap on one photo shoot in a swamp and my Nikon slipped out of my hand and into the swamp. Soon after my wife ordered this harness. Thank goodness she insured my camera. I think this is a secure way to carry camera. Just a little hard to figure out at first, but I now have the trick. My wife is ordering one for herself .

Bino/Cam Harness seems OK. It gets the job done which is to keep camera
snug against chest to prevent damage when moving. I use the harness in outdoor photography to free up both hands when need be.
Directions are poor. They could easily be made complete and clear.

I have used the harness with my DSLR as a tourist in NY and hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I like the ability to have both hands free hiking and have the camera ready to take a quick shot.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Bino/Cam Harness (Elastic Version):
i used this for a recent hiking trip I just took and absolutely loved it. It kept my camera from swinging a whole lot and took weight off my neck. But I recommend a lens cover with the waist harness if you are going to do any serious climbing, which protects the camera and really keeps it from moving while still having easy accessibility.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Bino/Cam Harness (Elastic Version):
I am a small person so the attached binoc hangs far below my waist. If I shorten the straps to have the binoc near my waist, the whole apparatus then shifts due to the weight of the binoc such that the slotted back piece is moved up to the back of my neck. The resulting pressure on the back of my neck is then only slightly better than if I were just using only a neck strap on the binoc.

I use the harness to carry my Canon 50D with 100-400 lens. It works very well, but I wish I had bought the webbing version because of the weight of the lens. It takes all the weight off the neck.

My husband will flip out when he finds this B&H gift is indeed now his very own. It's been a constant hassle hiking with binoculars bouncing about on his chest, bending over for a better view of wildflowers, and finding the the binoculars were there first. I'll share his enthusiasm with you once the surprise gift is in his possession!

After touring Italy for 3 weeks my neck was really stressed by the conventional camera strap. That's when I bought my 1st Bino/Cam Harness. It takes ALL the weight off your neck and frees your hands when not using the camera. I recommend this harness to all my friends and fellow photographers. I just bought another one for my second camera!
