The DSS-Omega is a fully featured stand at a relatively affordable price. The large triangular base is locked from motion with just a single pedal, and 24 roller bearings provide smooth, light adjustments. The unique hexagonal column design eliminates the annoying vibrations associated with square and round columns. Additional complements include a rotating crossarm which allows adjustment of the stand's height even while perched up a ladder and the ability to attach swing-arm accessory trays.
- The Omega's column has been widened for better stability and a decreased need for a counter weight.
