i have a Tamrac camera bag that is part of their modular system. the belt loop fits right in through the strap and is secured by strong velcro and 2 snap buttons that ensure that it stays put - like a sidecar on a motorcycle.
definitely recommended.

Holds some of my short lenses very well, but for a couple of my wider lenses, the case is too narrow. Only way to use with wide angle or large aperature lenses is to keep the lens hood off, or go to the larger size case. If you go to the larger case, your lens can get lost at the bottom and you have to fish around for it.

Comments about Tamrac MX5375 M.A.S. Lens Case - Medium:
I recently purchased Lowerpro, Tamrac and Pearstone lens cases. To me, the Tamrac felt best quality. This was a very a nice fit for my Nikon 85 AFD 1.8, and pretty good (maybe a tiny bit big) for the new Nikon 50 1.8 AFS.

Comments about Tamrac MX5375 M.A.S. Lens Case - Medium:
I have several of the Tamrac cases in two sizes. Very well padded, overlapping lip gives good seal over the zipper. The back flap has both velcro and snaps for secure attachment to outside of camera bag or belt if necessary. I'll often attach one of these to my belt so I can carry a second lens without toting a camera bag.

Very nice case. I actually use it to store my light meter and shutter remote right now for quick and easy access on my camera bag. Will be great for lens too :-)

Comments about Tamrac MX5375 M.A.S. Lens Case - Medium:
If you own a DSLR (or any other interchangeable lens camera), you have more than one lens, and you like to walk around with your camera, this is the best way I've found to keep them with you and accessible. Hanging the lenses off your belt in one of these cases, keeps you from sweating all over yourself with all your gear in a backpack. You are no longer looking through a bag for your lenses when you need to switch. They are more user friendly than the useless "Crown Royal" sack the manufacturer gives you. The only criticism some may have is that with the medium case, you cant store most wide angle lenses with their hoods on. I just use my hand as a lens hood, so this isn't an issue with me. As for the next size up (MX5378), I can put my Nikkor 70-300mm VR in there with the lens hood reversed and zip it closed. As for this case, it holds the Tokina AT-X 165 Pro DX and just zips closed (add a thick filter and lens cap, and you may not zip it shut. That ought to give you an idea what you can stuff into this case. The Tokina lens I store in it is 3.3" wide and 3.8" long. That's a 77mm filter thread on the front end. I've had my larger case for years and it still looks new. Nice to know some folks still have products that last. If you purchase a new lens, you should have one of these cases in the same box with the lens when it ships. To me it seems silly not to have a lens in a padded (not to mention weather resistant) case when it's not in use.

If you have a Tamrac bag that supports the M.A.S. system or you want a smaller bag for just your camera and one lens, but might want to take more gear on some occaisions, check these out. I bought the Tamrac 5627 pro digital zoom 7, and the ability to attach these M.A.S. lens cases is terrific. By themselves they are great cases.

Looks just as competent as any similar Lowepro or Tamrac case. This one is a perfect, comfortably snug fit for a Sigma 17-70mm without the lens hood.

Pouch holds Canon Speedlite 430EX II flash and a set of spare batteries.
Rear strap that has both velcro and snaps secures very securly on Tamrac's MAS cases (but could also attach to any 1" - 2" horizontal webbing strap or even waist belt).
Flash original bag can't be attached to a pack nor has a pocket for spare batteries.
