I use this bag for photo walks, to carry 2-3 lenses or 1-2 lenses and a flash, along with miscellaneous accessories like cards and batteries. I sling it over my shoulder and carry the camera separately, so it's always ready to go.
I really like the swivel strap, and use the outer pocket on the lid for the lens cap. The only thing that's less than ideal for this usage is that the center divider has a flap, assuming that you'll put in an SLR nose-down, rather than just carrying two lenses.
I'm a camera bag junkie, and this is one of my favorites.

Comments about Tamrac 5696 Digital-6 Camera Shoulder Bag:
This small camera bag was ideal for traveling in NYC. It wasn't too big like a back pack, but just the right size to keep my Nikon safe and also allowed room for other camera and non-camera accessories.

Comments about Tamrac 5696 Digital-6 Camera Shoulder Bag:
Well-made bag, with enough room for a P&S. A superzoom like my SX30 wouldn't fit, though, and there isn't much room for extras. The front pocket has slots for AA batteries, which is nice if your camera uses AA's, but otherwise it's not very helpful.

Comments about Tamrac 5696 Digital-6 Camera Shoulder Bag:
I recently bought a Nikon P7000 and a SB 400 and this bag is perfect. I have a Nikon D80 and a bag full of other lenses that I haul around but the P7000 + SB400 + the Tamrac 5696 are just ideal for fun photos.

Comments about Tamrac 5696 Digital-6 Camera Shoulder Bag:
This bag is the coolest and most versatile bag I have ever used. It has an unique divider so that I can store both my camera and Ipod. There is extra slots, pouches and zipper compartments to store cords, memory cards and an extra battery. It is light weight yet has plenty of padding to protect your camera in case it is dropped or bumped up against something hard. If I want to leave my purse at home there is plenty of room in this bag to put my phone, car keys, wallet and sun glasses. I like this bag.

Comments about Tamrac 5696 Digital-6 Camera Shoulder Bag:
I bought this bag to protect and carry the Panasonic FZ35 advanced compact digital camera. I like everything about this bag except that I have to slide the camera into the bag LCD screen down, with the lens up. The fit is too tight when trying to put the camera bottom down first. It surprised me, so if this is important to you, select a slightly larger bag.

Comments about Tamrac 5696 Digital-6 Camera Shoulder Bag:
This is my favorite bag for digital cameras with a "slr-like" size and shape. It's big enough to let the camera go in and out quickly and easily (not too snug) without being huge. It has plenty of pockets of various sizes. I also love the flip top which is secured with a clip and velcro instead of a zipper top. This makes it much easier to get the camera out quickly when a photo moment pops up. There is nothing about this bag that I don't like. I currently own 3 of them.
