I am a professional that also takes my pro SLR on family trips. When I only need a couple of lenses for a short hike or urban walk, this is the backpack that I use. It holds my 1D with 70-200 2.8 attached with hood reversed, my 24-70 2.8 with hood reversed, 50 1.4, 580EX II flash, and the back storage compartment is great for memory cards and the like. The mesh inner pockets work well for filters. This bag is small enough that it's hard to weigh it down to the point that it's difficult to carry.

Too Small for a Pro
Looks like it would work, but its not tall enough to fit a digital SLR with a battery grip attached.

The Micro Trekker 200 is great for carrying my camera with an attached lens plus several other lenses. Many pockets can be used for carrying extra items. Batteries, remote control and a flash card just to name a few.
This bag can be used to carry in your hand or on your back. There is only one color though. Some people like a choice of colors.

It's not the matter of how big your bag is in this case. It's how much equipment you have to fill it up. I have a SLR and 3 other lenses along with all their accessories + a tripod and still have room for another lense. Crazy isn't it? The only thing is that the tripod holder is difficult to tighten. There's even space for the instruction manuals!

We carry 2 slr bodies, 3 lenses, filters, film, pencils, paper....etc..etc...NO PROBLEMS.
We have had this bag for 3+ years and it's been nothing but a great investment!
It is very roomy and customizable as well. Lowepro is the best in my book.

The camera need to be placed on top and , if not supported fall to the bottom of bag. I reconfigured the bag to allow bottom storage. Too narrow for a Nikon D200.

I bought this as a "go bag" for my wife, who has taken a liking to macro photography of flowers. My hope was to find a small backpack that would hold her Canon 40D, accessories and 2 or 3 lenses. I also wanted something that would fit comfortably under an airline seat.
The bag meets all those qualifications. It is currently holding her 40D, a spare 40D body, the stock 28-135mm lens, a Canon 100mm macro lens, a 60mm macro lens, the battery charger, spare battery pack, various other gadgets and has room for probably one more moderate-sized lens.
It has surpassed my expectations. Build quality seems good, but we've only had it for about two months. However, I've owned Lowepro bags since the late 70s and never had one fall apart.

Comments about Lowepro Micro Trekker 200 (Black):
The Micro Trekker 200 is very high quality, durable, and protective. It looks like a regular back-pack, so I'm less concerned that someone will think I have photo gear and try to steal it. It's also very water-repellent (but not water-proof) as I learned one day after 4 hours in the rain. What a relief!!! I carry one large tele-zoom, and three other lenses, and I've still got room left inside.

I put my DSLR, a standard zoom lens, my P&S and a bunch of accesories in this, and still have room to spare, if I buy more lenses.
Great backpack for an ameteur with a small or moderate sized epuipment collection.
The only con is that if you don't remember to zip this up, the camera and lenses can fall out when you pick it up, and it may be hard to access equipment at certain times, but overall a great choice.

I needed to carry a camera body, a 60mm lens and a 180mm lens, plus a few small accessories. I needed a light bag because this one goes into the field on my back. All this stuff fits (just) and the bag fits my purposes very well.

I use this to store my Nikon D60 and another lens. Both fit perfectly. Still more room left. I put my nikon coolpix camera in the bag, with the charger and with the d60's charger as well.

Comments about Lowepro Micro Trekker 200 (Black):
This bag is small and compact and just what I needed. Let me start off by saying I am a short female (5'3'') and wanted a little bag. I tried a few other ones on and this was the least bulky but still fits all my lenses. I am able to fit my camera and 3 lenses and still have room to spare! (40d, 50mm, 70-200 zoom, 17-55, 1 lens hood). The backpack is shorter in length than normal backpacks but sits comfortably on my back. I chose this over a sling bag or slingshot because I wanted the doubled straps for comfort.
Biggest con - as someone else mentioned the camera body goes in the top which makes it top heavy but I may switch around the velcro to change that. Either way I love this bag and am happy with my purchase!

This is a nice compact bag that fits My D300 with 70-200 attached. It also fits my SB800, extra lenses, and has multiple pockets for memory cards etc. It will fit the D300 with grip, however it will have a very tiny bulge when you close the bag. If you have a BS1 hotshoe protector it will come off from the movement (only when you have the grip attached) It has an adjustable chest harness which aids in the comfort. The bag also fits nicely under an airline seat with room to spare. Like all backpacks, quick access to your gear is the downside.

I'm completelly satisfied with this bag - well made, with a lot of pouches and capacious main section. My e-510 fits nicely in it with 4 lenses, flash and changers.

I like to take my equipment with me when I travel. I LOVE that this allows my hands to be free while keeping everything safe. No longer do I have to have my husband carry around my camera bag. Everything fits safely inside and I am free to roam around. You can custom design the inside storage areas to fit whatever equipment you own. The only negative was that the original spot for the camera was on the top of the bag which made it top heavy. I switched the velcro liners around to leave room for my camera body on the bottom.
