I bought this bag for my new Canon S5IS. Once I add theextension tube on for a Wide Angle lens, it will be aboutthe size of a small DSLR. I don't know about other folks, but I looked at lots of bags and all were way too big orsmall for my needs. So perhaps this detailed review willhelp you decide what's best for your camera. There are two stiff fabric/foam divider-flaps in the mainportion that you can fold back and forth to formcompartments. They can be moved left or right and fastenedin place with the sewn on hook-&-loops that run along theinside of the main compartment. I arranged them to give meenough clearance for the camera WITH the lens extended (w/the extension tube/WA lens/cap). Tip: I turned the camerasideways---the lens faces the left of the bag. I stillhave room for the USB and A/V cables and 4 extra AAbatteries on one side, and a compact accessory flash on theother. I'm thinking about putting a thin sheet of grey foamon the bottom under the camera to further protect it, sincethere's room height-wise. An accessory AC adapter fits in the front zippered pouch. There's even a separate zippered net on the front pouch ANDthe top lid to put lens cleaner, extra SD cards, etc. BONUS: The main user's manual fits in the front pouch, too,so I can take it with me! The top has overlapping fabric tokeep out dust and rain---nice touch. I like the latch onthe front---it keeps the lid down in case I forget to zip itclosed... I use the handle to carry it around indoors, butyesterday I used the webbed belt that is tucked into theback flap. It was super secure when used with the belt andthe shoulder strap. For those of us that do any hiking orother activities with our camera, this bag is wonderful. This arrangement leaves my hands completely free, and thebag doesnt slide around. Highly recommended.

I purchased this gadget bag shortly after having purchased a Canon EOS Rebel T1i DSLR. The bag will hold the camera and the 18-55 MM Lens but that's about all. I was able to squeeze the Canon 270EX External Flash into the case, but I'm intending to purchase an 18-200MM lens and there is absolutely no way that this will fit in the bag.
On a positive note, the gadget back is constructed very well and affords adaquate protection, but as mentioned there simply isn't enough room for this to be consided worthwhile.

I am very pleased with it - enough room for the body & the lense that I have. the only thing I wish is that there were more little compartments. But other than that, it is great!

I had the bag picked out I needed for my new Canon Rebel, but found it way over priced at other retailers. When I found it at B & H, it was a relief, but I hoped it wasn't "Like New".
What a deal - it came earlier than I'd hoped for, and is completely new. Excellent!

Comments about Canon Gadget Bag 100EG:
I did not purchase this bag for my SLR; I purchased it for my Canon G12 (compact camera with RAW and manual controls). It just would not accommodate my Canon 7D (SLR) with 2 telephoto lens plus more lenses and flash. It is perfect for the G12 and the external flash. Plenty of room for SD cards and extra camera and flash batteries.
The material and zippers are very durable. I like the fact the it can be carried by just grabbing the top handle, throwing it over my shoulder with the shoulder strap, or getting out the waist belt. Canon has done a good job of folding and hiding the waist belt inside a pocketed area, so it is not in the way while not in use.
Bottom line...I think Canon has miss represented this bag. There's no way this bag accommodates an SLR, 2 to 3 lenses, and accessories. For my use...it is a 5 star.

Got this bag because I already have a Canon backpack but sometimes I need something more portable and only want to carry my camera and a couple lenses. This bag does the job perfectly. My main reasons for getting this one over the other brands is price, and my 60D with a battery grip will fit properly. Plus, both of my Canon bags are made very well.

Comments about Canon Gadget Bag 100EG:
I got my first DSLR this Christmas, and I wanted a bag that was easy to travel with to motivate me to use the camera right away.
My only complaint is that my Rebel T2i fits somewhat awkwardly with a lens - initially, the best way it would fit was with the lens facing down and the screen facing up which I wasn't thrilled about. But once I figured out that you can remove and rearrange the padded lining, it seems to fit nicely along with my second lens - a 50mm - and possibly an external flash once I get it.
Otherwise I really like it! It's very discrete and lightweight - I didn't even realize it had the waist buckle until I looked on here again! (Bonus!)
Like others have said - it won't hold all of your equipment if you're a serious photographer, but if you know where you are shooting, you can plan on just taking a couple of lenses and travel light. So excited to put it into action!

This is exactly what I was looking for. It holds my Canon T2i plus 2 lenses and my charger. Not too big yet bigger than a holster type bag. Won't hold a ton of extras but a nice, well padded bag for everyday or walk around use.

This was purchased as a gift for my wife who has a new Canon EOS 60D Camera. She loves it. The camera and 2 lenses fit perfectly. I appreciate the great padding, which has saved us on a few occassions on bumpy airplanes and buses.

I am using to hold my Canon 60D, my lenses: Canon 50mm f/1.4 and Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8, as well as memory cards and batteries.
The material used for manufacturing is very good and tough.
As I said in the title, it is excellent, but for the camera and lenses I own, it was tight.

Some reviews say this bag is two small, but it fits a Canon Rebel T3i, an 18-135mm lens, a 75-300mm lens, some small accessories, the instruction book, and the battery charger snugly but comfortably.
I haven't thrown my bag out of my second floor window yet to provide anyone with feed back on how well it will protect your cameras and lenses, but it does a great job holding them.

Comments about Canon Gadget Bag 100EG:
The Bag is very well built, but like the desc states 2 lenses and a body is a bit far to pull off. Its a great for the price but a T3i and 18-55mm are tight enough much less with a 75-300 and then a charger, battery, any filters or anything like that. Overall an awesome bag.

The bag is really good quality. I must commend on the delivery. It was within 2 days that I received the package, and i didnt even order and express delivery!
The only downside I can think of is that the bag cannot house more than 1 lense, unless you decided to leave all other accessories behind!
Nevertheless, it works perfectly for me and will easily recommend to anyone... Thsi was my first time purchase from you guys, and I think I gotta be buying more stuff from here!!

The bag is very well constructed, but the description states a body and 2-3 lenses. No way more than 2 lenses and a camera body will fit at very tight at that. Have a Canon T3 18-55mm and 75-300mm and BARELY fits with the lens off the camera. not to mention if you had filters or extra battery, card reader or anything extra. Although for the price this bag does a very good job rather than a 60-70 bag.

Some reviews I read said that the bag was not large enough. However, I wanted it to carry my camera body, 3 lenses and spare battery and it is perfect.
I did not want to have to carry a huge bag around and this keeps all my equipment safe yet is compact enough to carry using the waist belt, if i want to keep it off my shoulder. The diveders are great for protecting the lenses.

Good quality bag that is just the right size for me. Not too big, not too small. I used it with a Canon 60d with a Tamron wide angle to med tele lens, two batteries, extr memory card and a shotgun mic. Although the mic is a bit long for this bag but still does fit.

I have been on many bag searches and ended up with this one. I don't like backpacks or flip-around packs, and I wanted something not too big and not too small. I shoot Nikon and who cares if this bag is branded Canon!

Very good quality and strength. I keep by Canon EOS 7D in here and it is really cutting it a bit too close for my comfort but with the lens attached (28-135mm) it does fit.
