When we went from a Canon 20D to a 1D Mark III, we had a serious problem cramming it into the Canon gadget bag we were using. We wanted a Canon brand bag and the 1EG is large enough to handle this professional camera body with our EF 100-400mm lens attached. The velcro partitions allowed us to position the camera to allow for carrying a couple of other EF lenses as well. The exterior pockets provide plenty of room for other accessories and manuals. The padded shoulder stap makes it comfortable to carry.

This bad is cheap, I bought it and I regret it. It can fit 1 camera body with 80-200 afs attached, 1 18-70mm and 1 12-24mm. Can also fit a flash in the bag. Side and front pouch is kinda small and hard to reach. 2 extra removeable pouch on the lid, also badly designed and hard to use.
You will get fatigue on your shoulder if you carry this thing for too long with full load. Shoulder strap is horrible. I've used better shoulder bags that does not make you tired and have sore shoulders. Of course better bags cost more. Save yourself some trouble and pain and buy a better designed bag.

Comments about Canon Professional Gadget Bag 1EG:
I've been using one of these bags for one of my video cameras for several years now and really love it. It holds all of my necessary, basic camera items and is layed out well. It's rugged and I like the added snaps that secure the top after it's been zipped closed - it makes me feel better about the added weight I carry around in it knowing that it won't pop open if the zipper blows out when picked up by the top handle. However, the zippers are super and I've never seen one even think about blowing out or falling apart.
I recently bought another to house my DSLR. The claim that it can hold 2 SLR's and 7-10 lenses is far fetched, though. It won't even hold 1 camera with that many lenses. One camera, a couple of lenses, a flash, and some other accessories - sure.
Where I'm not so impressed is with the dividers. They just don't seem to be the right sizes to go anywhere well and the velcro on the main piece only has a narrow velcro strip in one place...which so far, has been the wrong place. I guess that once you get your equipment where you want it, sewing or glueing the dividers into place would work, but that just seems to be harder than it has to be.
I also think that it's not as good as some other bags on the market as a "carry and shoot" bag that can be slung over your shoulder where you can dig equipment out on the run without putting it down.
Overall, I'd recommend this bag, but with reservations.

I knew what I wanted and when I saw this bag it fit the exact expectations, needs and looks that I was after. Not much else to say than PERFECT!
If I had to have a con it would be that it doesnt say Nikon on the rain cover.

A very nice bag for the money. Has lots of protection and pockets.
Not so good is the space available. To say that this is a 2 DSLR bag is a joke, unless you only have a couple of lenses. I can fit 4 lenses and a flash, but it isn't really big enough for my D60 with the 55-135 lens.

Great bag. Holds everything that I need and more. Love how i can set up everything to ease in my use and swapping lenses. Only Con is, IT"S A CANON!!! great setup and ergos of it. Other companies need to make bags like this. I cut off the Canon Logo... sorry I own it and I can't be having that with my Nikon gear. Other companies step up. Besides that, WONDERFUL bag.

Nice. For the Price can't beat it. Like most reviews say it probably cant hold 7-10 lenses..maybe if you stacked them. Same with 2 slrs probably not happening. But if you have 5 nice lenses and nice camera and want a nice looking bag..buy it.

Needed a bigger bag for my 1ds. It holds everything I have right now but not much room for expansion. Still, very happy with the purchase. Really good price.

Chose camera bag big enough to keep all my lenses and gear together. Have 35mm digital camera with batter grip on the bottom. Have 2 zoom lenses, 70-200 f2.8 and 28-300 f4.0-6.5. Have a 28-50 zoom and 2 other lenses. It will still hold the Monopod underneith that I use for action shots and also the flash for indoor pictures. I still have room left. It is a high quality material with small feet to keep off the ground and should last many years. Ive only had it a a few weeks but I still am looking for the bad in the bag...I still cant find one. And the price was Fantastic.

Comments about Canon Professional Gadget Bag 1EG:
This is about as close as Canon gets to the perfect bag for me and others. What needs to be fixed?
1) Max out the size of the size pockets.
2) Replace the two small pockets on the front with the one large one from the 10EG.
3) Un-zip the front pocket and find one full-size zippered (or Velcro) pouch to the inside surface and another one to the outside surface. Forget all the busywork inside these pouches the other camera bags have.
4) Split the one zippered pouch on the inside top cover to two, one for batteries and one for memory cards.
5) Most photographers now carry an I-Pad or notebook computer. Put a zippered pocket across the back for said device, manuals, and the gray and color cards. If the height must be increased to fit a 15-inch screen, increase the height as needed.
6) Two straps to allow a tripod to be carried would be nice but not a deal-breaker.
You now have a very versatile camera bag that is fast to work with. This re-designed bag is what many of us are looking for.

I have a Canon 5D and I store it on its back with one lens always on. I currently have a total of 4 lenses - 85 1.2, 24 1.4, 50 1.2, and 135. I also have the Canon speedlite 580 EXII. Everything fits perfectly and I have even room for lens hoods piled into each other. But that's about all that fits. There's no way this bag will fit 10 lenses and 2 camera bodies. But if you have a good-sized SLR and between 5, 6, or at most 7 lenses, this bag is really really nice.

I bought this bag for smaller occasions when I don't want to carry my large backpack-size camera/accessory bag. This was a wonderful bag with convenient side pockets that close securely, and the water-tight main compartment which was convenient to access and kept the weather off my equipment. The adjustable dividers allowed me to customize the space to the lenses I wanted for the shoot, but allows pleanty of other configurations.
I love this bag, and it is built well from quality materials. I am looking forward to several years of use.

Heavy duty, well built. Loads of room. Love it, only have one complaint. The tripod straps won't hold my Manfrotto 755XB Tripod. They are a little small.
Other than that this bag is awesome. Love all the dividers

This is a great bag to put all of your equipment in for the occasional photographer. As time goes on most likely you will end up needing a bigger bag, but this is a good one to start out with. I have a Canon T3i with a battery grip and it fits in the bag with a lens on very comfortably inside the padding. Very durable and looks great.

This bag is big enough to hold all my lenses as well as my flash, extra batteries, books, light meter and more. The only problem I have is that I wish it had wheels because fully loaded it is heavy for me to hold but I am thankful that I don't have to carry mulitiple bags. GREAT BAG!
