When we went from a Canon 20D to a 1D Mark III, we had a serious problem cramming it into the Canon gadget bag we were using. We wanted a Canon brand bag and the 1EG is large enough to handle this professional camera body with our EF 100-400mm lens attached. The velcro partitions allowed us to position the camera to allow for carrying a couple of other EF lenses as well. The exterior pockets provide plenty of room for other accessories and manuals. The padded shoulder stap makes it comfortable to carry.

This bad is cheap, I bought it and I regret it. It can fit 1 camera body with 80-200 afs attached, 1 18-70mm and 1 12-24mm. Can also fit a flash in the bag. Side and front pouch is kinda small and hard to reach. 2 extra removeable pouch on the lid, also badly designed and hard to use.
You will get fatigue on your shoulder if you carry this thing for too long with full load. Shoulder strap is horrible. I've used better shoulder bags that does not make you tired and have sore shoulders. Of course better bags cost more. Save yourself some trouble and pain and buy a better designed bag.

Chose camera bag big enough to keep all my lenses and gear together. Have 35mm digital camera with batter grip on the bottom. Have 2 zoom lenses, 70-200 f2.8 and 28-300 f4.0-6.5. Have a 28-50 zoom and 2 other lenses. It will still hold the Monopod underneith that I use for action shots and also the flash for indoor pictures. I still have room left. It is a high quality material with small feet to keep off the ground and should last many years. Ive only had it a a few weeks but I still am looking for the bad in the bag...I still cant find one. And the price was Fantastic.

This is about as close as Canon gets to the perfect bag for me and others. What needs to be fixed?
1) Max out the size of the size pockets.
2) Replace the two small pockets on the front with the one large one from the 10EG.
3) Un-zip the front pocket and find one full-size zippered (or Velcro) pouch to the inside surface and another one to the outside surface. Forget all the busywork inside these pouches the other camera bags have.
4) Split the one zippered pouch on the inside top cover to two, one for batteries and one for memory cards.
5) Most photographers now carry an I-Pad or notebook computer. Put a zippered pocket across the back for said device, manuals, and the gray and color cards. If the height must be increased to fit a 15-inch screen, increase the height as needed.
6) Two straps to allow a tripod to be carried would be nice but not a deal-breaker.
You now have a very versatile camera bag that is fast to work with. This re-designed bag is what many of us are looking for.

Comments about Canon Professional Gadget Bag 1EG:
I have a Canon 5D and I store it on its back with one lens always on. I currently have a total of 4 lenses - 85 1.2, 24 1.4, 50 1.2, and 135. I also have the Canon speedlite 580 EXII. Everything fits perfectly and I have even room for lens hoods piled into each other. But that's about all that fits. There's no way this bag will fit 10 lenses and 2 camera bodies. But if you have a good-sized SLR and between 5, 6, or at most 7 lenses, this bag is really really nice.

I bought this bag for smaller occasions when I don't want to carry my large backpack-size camera/accessory bag. This was a wonderful bag with convenient side pockets that close securely, and the water-tight main compartment which was convenient to access and kept the weather off my equipment. The adjustable dividers allowed me to customize the space to the lenses I wanted for the shoot, but allows pleanty of other configurations.
I love this bag, and it is built well from quality materials. I am looking forward to several years of use.

Heavy duty, well built. Loads of room. Love it, only have one complaint. The tripod straps won't hold my Manfrotto 755XB Tripod. They are a little small.
Other than that this bag is awesome. Love all the dividers

This is a great bag to put all of your equipment in for the occasional photographer. As time goes on most likely you will end up needing a bigger bag, but this is a good one to start out with. I have a Canon T3i with a battery grip and it fits in the bag with a lens on very comfortably inside the padding. Very durable and looks great.

This bag is big enough to hold all my lenses as well as my flash, extra batteries, books, light meter and more. The only problem I have is that I wish it had wheels because fully loaded it is heavy for me to hold but I am thankful that I don't have to carry mulitiple bags. GREAT BAG!

this is a really good, yet inexpensive, bag. i use it for a Panasonic HMC40 camcorder and it all fits with space for an external mic (Rode SVM) and full size headphones. nice construction, durable, holds its shape well, and padded all around. lots of pockets for cords, batteries, memory cards, etc.
i also like the security provided by the two clips in additon to the zipper. makes me comfortable that someone wont reach in and grab something on a crowded street.

Comments about Canon Professional Gadget Bag 1EG:
I have to agree with some of the other reviewers saying that it is smaller than expected. The main interior compartment is the only thing that I can say is a little bigger than the canon 200eg that I own as well. The side pockets are nowhere near as usefull as the 200eg side pockets are, and the 200 eg front pocket will more than make up , the two front pockets on the pro bag, and as well,a lot more usefull than those two,, dingy little (small pockets) are. I don't know why this bag was made this way. Why not the front, and side pockets off the 200eg, placed on this bag as well is beyond me. And, that zippered, if you'd call it a pouch, on the back of the bag, I don't see much use for it other than maybe screen protecters or envelopes maybe,,, who knows?? The only other thing that some people may prefer over the 200, is the main compartment, does have a zipper. The 200, laps over with velcro, but personaly, I liked that alright to. If you have more than 3 lenses, then the pro bag does have more large comp. space, but if you are like myself and have the 50d size camera, and the 70-300 is usm, and the 28-135 is usm, and that's it with no intentions on going larger, or to like 77 mm filters type lenses on top of those, I personally prefer the 200 bag. It's more usefull. Otherwise, if you have larger or longer lenses, or planning on getting them, then the pro bag might be better for you. Either way you look at it though, if not,,,, the 200 bag is big enough, and the outside pockets are by far, better than the pro bag.

This thing is large and in charge! I recently wound up being thrust from avid enthusiast to struggling professional and have been upgrading my gear to meet the demands of my new profession. I immediately outgrew my previous bag. I picked this bag for two reasons. It was rated to hold two Pro DSLR bodies with an assortment of lenses and it was only $65! Great Choice! Lots of compartments. Custom configurable inner walls with the requisite velcro adjustment system you expect. Sturdy zippers and a really comfortable and wide shoulder strap. Will it hold everything you own? That depends. Will it hold everything you need for a day of shooting? Minus the tripod and a cold one for the end of the day, I'd have to say yes.

How you use the product - to haul all my camera gear around!
Things that are great about it - i love that there is plenty of space for a lot more stuff then in my previous Canon Gadget Bag 10EG , the build quality is nice and the inside padding is great! I also love that the pockets inside the lid are removable makes life easier if you have small items that need to go with you but you don't want to take the bag with you!
Things that aren't so great about it - i don't see how anyone can put 7-10 lenses in this bag but i would say that there is room enough for 5 or 6 medium to small lenses and 2 flashes, the two front pockets are a tad small (wish it would have been one single pocket like on the Canon Gadget Bag 10EG just larger)
over all i would say this is an excellent buy for anyone on a budget looking for a quality bag!
