The Altman 14 inch 1000 watt Focusing Scoop is a lightweight multi-purpose reflector floodlight. The 160 Scoop produces a very soft edged beam of varying spreads -- 111 footcandles 27' in diameter from 15' away in spot position, and 39 footcandles 41.3' in diameter in flood position.
It is designed to operate high color temperature tungsten halogen lamps, as well as standard incandescent lamps.
This fixture is used in theatre and television as a flood light where space limitation is a factor. Other uses include puppet theatres, museums and show windows. The scoop is an ideal fixture for set hallway and window backings where color blending and smooth even washes of light are required.
