The Arkay Model-2 Archival Print Washer features an overflow design, which provides a faster exchange of fresh water then other archival washers.
- Fresh water flows between and around each print
- Each print is in a separate compartment that allows for individual print washing

Hypo is heavier than water and stays at the bottom of conventional washers and is removed only when the washer is emptied.
With Arkay's archival washers the fixer escapes through an exit port positioned near the bottom of the stainless steel tank.
