Basically, you fill out your address info on the envelope, drop your film cartridge in there, toss it in a mailbox, go find something to do for a week, and voila, professionally processed and printed pictures in your mailbox, wrapped in plastic to keep them dry and pressed between two pieces of cardboard to keep them from getting bent. Will definitely use again in the future.

[...]The prints were OK ... not the best I've seen, but not bad either. They are only proofs, after-all.They cut the negatives into strips of six frames, which is how I do it at home - so good news to me.The negatives were in good condition - no scratches or anything like that. I've seen them come back in terrible shape from other places.I think I'll send them another roll or two before I make up my mind, but so far I have mixed feelings... Mostly due to the long lead time and less than stellar prints. If all you really want is the negs - I would use them again without hesitation. The prints leave a little to be desired, but they serve their purpose (proofs).

Comments about A&I Develop + Prints Mailer for 35mm Print Film:
I normally get film developed mostly to scan, color myself and then upload to flickr. A lot of times I've been impatient and taken my film to Walgreens, the prints are sub-par and the film looks like it has been developed in some old and busted chemistry. I also use a semi-pro / enthusiast photo lab in town, and recently all the negs are coming back with tons of scratches and little specs. The pro labs in San Francisco are too expensive.
As a result, I think I'm going to stick to these A&I mailers that I've been using on and off for several years. The negatives are always really clean and look like they have gone through good chemistry and the prints look great to me.

Comments about A&I Develop + Prints Mailer for 35mm Print Film:
I agree with the other negative reviews. My prints weren't the best and I'm less than happy. Blue skies in my photos were blotchy. My local pharmacy seems to provide better prints. I was hoping to get better prints for this price. [...] I'll use up the mailers I purchased but, I probably won't use these specific mailers again.

All you have to do is drop it in the bag and fill out the form and your film is developed. They might even put your negs on a dvd or online where you can download it if you don't have dialup access to the internet. How simple is that?

The instructions and mailing process for developing were OK, but the quality of the photos upon their return were not very good at all. Not sure why, but this has to be among the worst film quality developing of my photos in a long time. Not willing to try this again.

Comments about A&I Develop + Prints Mailer for 35mm Print Film:
My jaw dropped when I received the prints from the A&I mailer. I've used Portra 160NC many times in the past, and always had it developed locally. I don't know what A & I does differently, but the prints were truly beautiful. I will continue to purchase these mailers for all of my color film. B&H has a very good price on these, as well--if you compare to buying the mailers directly from A&I. Highly recommended!
