Very convenient, especially while traveling. Just shoot your film and drop it in any postal box.
Postage is somewhat confusing, the envelopes say 2 first class stamps but according to post office counter clerks this is not sufficient. Last checked required #1.30 or so...more like 4 first class stamps.
The service seems to take on average close to 12 days, but varies depending on what part of the country you send from/to.

This is the third time I have mailed film into A&I and the third time I have had to call to get my film returned. In each case, more than three weeks passed between mailing and calling to see where my order was. Every time the response was "It looks like that order will go out tomorrow."
On the plus side, the work is top-quality and reliable, if not timely.

Comments about A&I Develop + Prints Mailer f/ 120 Print Film:
For a roll of exposed 120 color film you get: 5x5 prints, 5x4 print index, negatives cut and placed in glassine envelope, and a CD ROM with the images saved in High Quality JPEGs of 3-4MB each. Everything is placed in a transparent polybag taped tight and slipped in a sturdy cardboard envelope shipped first class mail. For the same price, local PRO Lab takes just as long for processing, and no CD ROM. I think the A&I mailer is a good value proposition with nice results.

I send my Ilford XP-2 Super film (120 black and white, used with a hacked-up Diana) to A&I, and the results are quite satisfactory. I don't trust the locals anymore[...]

Comments about A&I Develop + Prints Mailer f/ 120 Print Film:
I'm pleased with the quality of A&I's developing. The negatives cameback clean, free of fingerprints/dirt and scratches- something that, unfortunately, isn't standard with all processors anymore. My prints are 6" x 4.5" which is great so there is no loss of image area on a 6 x 4.5 cm negative. Square negatives print 5" x 5".

Decent turnaround time. Good prints. Everything went as expected. Good product for those who aren't close to a developer, or just too lazy to go and drop it off. :)
Comments about A&I Develop + Prints Mailer f/ 120 Print Film:
I give this service two stars for ease of sending mailer. But the turnaround has been forever, possibly because the mail is slow to the west coast. The returned film has kinks in it. Luckily we're scanning the film so we can make repairs in Photoshop. Also, we're searching for three rolls of missing film that is MIA. I can't recommend this service.

these mailers work great for someone who lives away from good photographic options (I live in rural Wyoming). the return time is good, and the process is very simple. Now if only, I could take better pictures with my Holga!

Its so simple, shoot your pics, drop in the film, put on 2 stamps, mail & wait. I just wish that it was postage prepaid so that I don't have to fish around looking for stamps.

It does cost more to do true B/W. Only $1.50 more, but more, nevertheless. The company called me up and told me as much and I gave them my credit card information. I'd only use these mailers for color. The product is just fine a[...]
