Most lighting fixtures accept the standard top stud on light stands, which meaures 5/8 inches in diameter. For those fixtures that accept nothing larger than 3/8 in studs, order the Manfrotto 3301 Rapid Adapter (5/8" to Long 3/8" Diameter Stud) to fit your fixture onto your standard light stand.

This product was just what i needed for my old Flash Heads which only have the 3/8" reciever. The product is built out of metal and nice and strong. Fits perfectly over the light stands 5/8" head with no wobble or concern about the Flash head falling off. Also great that you can mount this straigh up and down or sideways.

I can't say enough about this adapter!! I've been around a few adapters in my day, but this one ROCKS!!!!!!!!!! I thoroughly recommend this little beauty to anyone needing a 5/8 to long 3/8, of course if you don't need one you should stay far, far away.

Comments about Manfrotto 3301 - Rapid Adapter - 5/8" to Long 3/8" Diameter Stud:
I had several Bogen light stands that were useless
The threaded tips had broken off I had no way to
secure my studio lights. I finally decided to search for some kind of adapter - any kind. It was either that or duct tape. B&H is the first place I went and was amazed to find exactly what I needed. I don't even want to know how long it's
been available.
