The Meade 2 lbs (0.9 kg) Weight for Tube Balance Weight Systems is used in conjunction with accessories at the eyepiece-side of a Meade SCT telescope requiring redistribution of the scope's weight for better balance.
This might include SLR cameras & tele-extenders, monster 2" eyepiece/diagonal combinations, heavy camera/lens pairings mounted atop scopes in "piggyback" applications, CCD cameras with color filter wheels, or any of the above with electric focusers.
