Comments about Frezzolini MFSB-2 Soft-Box with Diffuser/Gel Holder:
This is a great add on for a wonderful light. It seems very well built, and folds flat for storage. I love the easy diffusion and color correction now (no more rubber banding gels around my Frezzi). I do think that the gel holders could benefit from a tab at the top to ease removal. Overall I would say that if you are using an on-camera light, you really need to be running one of these.

Comments about Frezzolini MFSB-2 Soft-Box with Diffuser/Gel Holder:
The price is a little steep but this soft box is well constructed. I have had my soft box for over 3 years and it has held up extremely well. Just like all frezzi products, they build them like tanks and they keep performing as well as the day you buy them.

Comments about Frezzolini MFSB-2 Soft-Box with Diffuser/Gel Holder:
Sadly, as the pace of News gathering has quickened over the years, I find myself having less and less time to set up lights in the field. And of course spot-news doesn't allow for such luxuries. So a camera mounted light is a very useful and oft-used item in a news photog's arsenal.
This smartly designed soft-box gives you quick options; run it naked to really light up the crime scene at night, add heavy or light diffusion to fill-in or be a key interview light, and then you can even stick in the nicely balanced CTB for daylight matching (just the thing to add some needed light in the magic hours, in the shade or in a car during a daytime ride-along/interview).
In News sometimes, "it's better than good, it's done" and this guy gets the job done...

Comments about Frezzolini MFSB-2 Soft-Box with Diffuser/Gel Holder:
I like this product a lot because it allows me to use outdoor balanced gels which can really come in handy. The ability to choose the level of diffusion is also a nice feature.
I recently had a shoot in an office with only windows and quarts lighting. Since I couldn't close the windows, I turned the lights off and used the CTB gel to further fill the subject. Worked fantastic and it didn't take any time at all to do. I didn't have the option to setup real lighting since I was on a tight schedule.
The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it uses a strange clear plastic window that holds the filters. I know I am just being picky but the plastic appears cheap and fragile. It's crinkly and mine had several scratches plus other small imperfections on it. I am guessing they used this material because it's easy to fold up and probably heat resistant. It has absolutely no negative effect on the lighting. This is just me being picky :)
One other thing, I noticed it's kind of difficult to switch filters out. This isn't a problem if you have all the time in the world but it's something to think about if you do running and gunning or event work.
