It's great being able to expand the Anton Bauer power tap, but at this price, I think a lot of people will be looking for a cheaper solution. It's convenient, and seems pretty well made, and durable, but it comes at a luxury price. I only bought it because I felt I needed it for a job. When you pay this kind of money for such a simple item, you kind of feel like the manufacturer has you over a barrel, and they're going to charge you as much as they can, now that you are using their system. Having said that, it's good to be able to access the power if you already have the system, but for someone who's building one, it's a good reason to look elsewhere. If it's handmade in USA, I could almost justify the price, but if it's made overseas, it should sell for half the current price or less. (So far I have been unable to find information about where it is manufactured.) I actually have not used the unit in the field yet, but I assume it will work as advertised. I expect to pay a premium for a professional product, but for a splitter that only gives you three additional taps, this seem a bit over the top. If it were about thirty dollars less, I would give it 5 stars.

This splitter is the only one I found and I'm very happy with it. Wish the price was a little cheaper. I actually ordered two because my dog destroyed the first one. Perfect for getting more outputs of the Power tap on your vmount or anton bauer mounts.

I needed extra plugs when I started using a wireless follow focus and a wireless monitor on my Red camera. With my Switronix hotswap and Powertap Multi, I have juice for all my extra gear and I never run out of power. Follow focus, HF transmitter, and even ringlight, all you can plug at once with just this tiny clever bar... Simple and brilliant!

We use these on our cameras where you only have one power output and require multiple outputs. For our needs they work great though the price is a little high. If you don’t want to keep plugging and unplugging your accessories this is a real good option.
