Wimberley Arca-Type Quick Release Adapter (60mm) - Requires Plate
A 60mm-long Arca-style quick release clamp that can be added upon any tripod head with a 3/8"-16 or 1/4"-20 threaded screw, the Wimberley C10 quick release adapter accepts Arca-type quick release plates from Acratech, Arca-Swiss, Foba, Novoflex, NPC, Studioball & (of course) Wimberley.
From head-to-toe it is a superior, exceptionally engineered design which will yield many years of reliable, heavy-duty use.

- Superstrong 7075 T6 Aluminum
- Wimberley uses 7075 T6 series aluminum for the C10 clamp, which is a standard within the aviation industry and amongst the world's strongest aluminum alloys. It is heavily alloyed with zinc to be incredibly strong and durable, with superior tensile and yield strength thresholds than 6061 T6 aluminum alloy.
- Accepts all Arca-Type Quick Release Plates
- The Wimberley C10 clamp will securely hold any manufacturer's Arca-type quick release plate, available from a host of manufacturers.
- Captive Locking Screw
- The clamp's locking knob cannot accidentally fall off from being unscrewed too far.
- Central 3/8"-16 Threaded Socket + Two 1/4"-20 Threaded Sockets
- There is a central 3/8"-16 threaded tripod socket as well as two 1/4"-20 threaded sockets, which are located equidistant ~27mm from the central socket.
- Set Screw Prohibits Twisting Upon Tripod Head Platform
- With no need for adhesives or additional hardware, twisting of the C10 clamp upon your tripod head platform can be prohibited by employing the set screw which is integrated into the C10 clamp. The set screw is located ~45mm from the center of the 3/8"-16 threaded tripod socket.
- Built for Tough Use
- Wimberley's C10 clamp has a tongue-in-pocket design which protects internal parts from dust and grit. The spring-loaded moving jaw communicates brilliantly to your hand that the camera's quick release plate and the jaw are in contact.
- Grooves Allow Extended Motion
- Shallow channels extending from the C10 clamp's sides stop just short of the central tapped hole, allowing great fore-aft adjustment when using the safety stops on Wimberley's (and others) quick release plates.

Best clamp on the market. I own both Arca-Swiss and RRS clamps and the knob on the Wimberley is easier to use and more forgiving on my fingers. This size is more than adequate for most camera/large lens combinations. I use one on a Linhof Profi III ball head and another directly mounted to a monopod. Wimberley's customer support is top notch as well.

I use this Quick release clamp with P20 Quick Release Plate(by Wimberley also) for my D700 and 70-200mm lens. It's simple, easy to use, light weight but strong(7075 T6 aluminum alloy), lock down rock solid and it's so beautifully designed.

I have other brands of quick release clamps, and this is probably the nicest. It has a fairly small footprint, but is every bit as sturdy as the bigger ones. I use it for macro work which means it can hold a heavy load, and for sports on a monopod.
It's always a pleasure to work with well-made equipment, and this doesn't disappoint.

I use this Quick release clamp for my Nikon 200-400mm f4 with Wimberley foot B&H# WIFN500 on my Gitzo monopod GN2540 which replaced with GM2541 &H # GIGM2541 and I also added Gitzo g1220-130 foot B&H # GIG1220130 .
This combination is highly recomended and works together perfectly.

Most quick release clamps are made of aluminum, and this one is no exception. The only difference is that the aluminum used for this clamp is a higher strength kind. When I dropped my monopod with this clamp mounted, the clamp hit the ground but didn't get a scratch like most other brand would.

Plastic tripod top clamps do not hold a 500 mm lens or spotting scope very firmly. This solid aluminum item really clamps on and you can adjust how tightly with the hand knob.

I use it on my older tripod with no built in head. It attaches to my P5 quick release plate. The knob takes a decent amount of effort turn, but that keeps the head from opening up on its own.
