Comments about Wimberley P10 Quick Release Plate:
The Wimberly P-10 is a precisely machined lens plate with a black anodized finish. Attached to my 300mm f/4, it locks solidly onto my A-S compatible ball head with no movement or vibration. Using the optional set screws makes it easy to decide how to mount the combination on a ball head: by sliding it on from the front or rear, or dropping it into the clamp. Great product-highly recommended.

Comments about Wimberley P10 Quick Release Plate:
The Wimberley P10 Quick Release Plate is a must-have for long lenses (such as the Nikon 70-200mm 2.8) when using a tripod or monopod. I have Wimberely Quick Release Plates mounted on all of my long lenses. They allow me to mount and dismount the camera/lens combination quickly on my tripod and monopod. Of course, you must have a Wimberley clamp or head mounted on your tripod or monopod. The build quality of the plate is excellent and the safety stops are a great idea!

Comments about Wimberley P10 Quick Release Plate:
Does what it's intended to do. You've invested $2k or more in your lens...its a no-brainer to invest [$] in a secure footing for your rig atop your tripod setup. I'd say this is just as important as getting a protective filter. Get one at the same time as your next lens. The manufacturer's website has all the correct sizing & application info you'll need.

Comments about Wimberley P10 Quick Release Plate:
No complaints: its size is well-suited for my 150 mm Sigma lens and it's clamped securely by my Kirk ballhead clamp. I've found it's not safe to assume all brands advertised as "Arca Swiss" type will necessarily have the correct dimensions needed for secure clamping; however this Wimberley plate is nicely made and is an excellent fit for the Kirk clamp.

I needed a couple of quick release plates and had used Wimberley in the past. Good construction, albeit a bit pricey. Gets the job done though.

Comments about Wimberley P10 Quick Release Plate:
I bought this lens plate for a Canon 70-200 f2.8, it works great, just as it should. I will say that the back of the plate has to be mounted very close to the camera to put it on the proper balance point, but it does fit. Solid build like all other wimberley products I've used.

Comments about Wimberley P10 Quick Release Plate:
High quality plate, does exactly what it was designed for. The small stainless steel socket head screw stops work well and there are 2 spares. The small ridges on the plate make alignment easy. I used this plate on a Canon 400mm f5.6L lens. The extra length helps get the right balance point of the lens camera combination.
