VMP-1200 Laser Pointer from Apollo is a laser pointer that is housed in a high-impact plastic barrel with a pocket clip. Its bright red laser dot can be projected onto any surface up to 1500' away as needed. This is a class 3a laser and the (2) AAA batteries required to power it are included with the device.

Well, it works as a laser pointer so that's good. The plastic seems a little cheap and brittle however. I don't plan on tossing it around, so it should last despite that. For value, I'd recommend it.

I had a chance to use this pointer, which replaces one I've had for years, just this morning for a slide show on bats for 50 grade schoolers. It was much easier to hold and have at the ready than the older one, feels very durable in the hand, and was easily pointed to where I wanted to highlight features on the screen.
