The Fujinon 12x60 HB Binocular is a high-powered roof prism binocular featuring phase-coated BaK-4 prisms and wonderful handling for such large glass. The center focusing is smooth and simple, and the nitrogen-purged housing meets military specifications for temperature and moisture resistance. The HB's pebbled rubber armor is great for both protecting the unit and providing a firm grip when you're wearing gloves, and Fujinon's also put a standard 1/4"-20 tripod threading between the objectives to ease longer observing sessions. Like many of the best bincoulars, the 12x60 HB has central dioptric correction, with the adjustment dial just ahead of the focusing dial. And due to its large objectives and good color correction, the 12x60 HB doubles as a very good astronomical observation unit as well.

Comments about Fujinon 12x60 HB Binocular:
The quality is very good. The interpupil adjustment knob is a little close to the focus adjustment knob so you can hit both when you're trying to focus. Optics are some of the best.

Comments about Fujinon 12x60 HB Binocular:
Now, after two years or so of owning these, I must say that these binoculars don't disappoint. Even though they have roof prisms, they perform on par with Fujinon FMT-SX as far as brightness goes, which is autstanding, I must say. Also, even though they have 12x magnification, they still maintain 5.0mm exit pupil, thanks to large 60mm objective lenses. The fit and finish is perfect. Well yes, they are heavy, but so are the FMT-SX series as well as Nikon Prostar/Astroluxe. To put it short, very nice piece of equipment. And you won't find another 12x60 on the market, espeically in roof prism form factor! So, it's one of a kind unit, and very high quality at the same time. What's not to like?
Comments about Fujinon 12x60 HB Binocular:
Well, a bit pricey, but it is a wonderful piece of equipment. Beautifully made, really! The 12x magnification is well controllable handheld, although the camera provides a tripod adaptor (a surprise, as it is not mentioned that the binocular includes a tripod adaptor. A very nice bag and microfiber cloth are included as well). The view through this binocular is very bright (obviously for a 60mm diameter lenses) and the sharpness is spot on. The ocular knobs, the focus knob, and the left eye diopter adjustment are well damped and very smooth. No single flaw in manufacturing and a beautiful design overall. I would consider this binocular a benchmark every other binocular should be measured against.
