I purchased a used Nikon D40x earlier this summer. The only thing missing from the body was the eyecup. While that's not a big thing, it protects eyeglasses from scratching and I certainly needed one. I tried an off-brand replacement, but it didn't fit very well, and soon fell off the camera and disappeared.I ordered a genuine Nikon replacement part online from B&H. There's not too much to this product. It's a replacement rubber eyepiece for the one that comes with many Nikon cameras (including my D40). If you tend to throw the camera in a bag like I do, it's easy for the piece to come off, so I bought a couple replacements after I lost my first one. It fits perfectly and hasn't fallen off yet (just a couple weeks).

This eye cup doesn't fit very tight and comes off quite easily. In fact, I lost mine within a few days of putting it on the camera. Recommendation: Either don't bother buying it or put a little dab of glue on the inside so it doesn't fall off. [$] = wasted.
