Recommended for Series 2 tripods. Measures 13" (33cm).
Lateral arms enable cameras to be positioned above or below the tripod in a 90 degree position, which might otherwise be obstructed by the tripod legs. They are available in rapid and geared versions and include a reversible 1/4 and 3/8" mounting stud.

Comments about Gitzo G-532 Lateral Side Arm for Reporter Tripods:
I use for make ilustrated video. I enable Canon 7D to be positioned above of my Gitzo tripod in a 90 degree position. I have some difficulty cinching the mounting head to my tripod. The lock wheel is located a little too tight to the head, making a good grip challenging.

Comments about Gitzo G-532 Lateral Side Arm for Reporter Tripods:
My use - with the column inverted, and make-shift positioning of a hand-held flash in close-ups.
What's great - It looks cool. It allows one to position the tripod legs in a different relationship to your body.
What's not so great - securing it to the tripod.

The side arm is very light and usable. Can't go wrong with a Gitzo.
