Simple design that does what it is supposed to do. Easy setup and lightweight. I was considering making one but could not justify my own time and material expense when one is this affordable.

A little spindly, but far better than most of the junk that comes with bargain scopes. The vertical adjustment takes a little getting used to but once on target you are unlikley to bump it, unlike the traditional camera style tripods. Held position well. Pretty good value. I used it with the vertical post in down position - probably wouldn't be too stable if I needed the post to be fully extended up. This is a table top only tripod and might actually be a little too tall for prone shooting.
