Each pocket has a zipper, touch fastener or weather flap closure.

Comments about Domke Photogs Convertible Jacket/Vest, XX-Large (Khaki):
It's heavy, I think it will be warm. I'll prefer this over my other jackets. I haven't taken the sleeves of yet.
I like the pockets. It holds my L-Lenses, nicely. It also holds my 4x6 flat filters.
I think I'll hide a memory card in it, just in case I fill up my primary.
I think it was worth the price.
I have a cheep lite weight vest from another manufacturer that I hate.

Comments about Domke Photogs Convertible Jacket/Vest, XX-Large (Khaki):
From previous reviews, I expected it to be too big. It is not too big and could be bigger but is OK if I don't get any bigger.

Comments about Domke Photogs Convertible Jacket/Vest, XX-Large (Khaki):
I already have a vest from Domke, which I came to appreciate and use quite often. I was looking for something similar, but more travel-oreinted, and found this to be exactly what I was searching for. Well built, warm enough for a colder weather (but it won't protect you in extreme winter conditions) and not so heavy.

Comments about Domke Photogs Convertible Jacket/Vest, XX-Large (Khaki):
I use this over my body armor when working in conflict zones. The color is low-key, it is loose fitting and can hold everything I need in the field.
Between the zip-off sleeves and the rain hood, it can handle just about any climate shy of the artic.
It does run relatively long so do NOT buy a size larger unless you want it to be a skirt as well as a jecket.

Comments about Domke Photogs Convertible Jacket/Vest, XX-Large (Khaki):
I'am a photojournalist working for several newspapers in the Netherlands and Germany. So you never know what kind of photo's you have to take in the next hour. That's why we always carry a lot of equipment. Not to show off, you just have to. The street is your studio. And believe me, after 30 years in the field, you don't like to carry a lot. That's why I use the Domke photoTOGS Jacket or vest. Yes, it has a lot of pockets!! But I can tell you exactly what stuff in which pocket. Not only the pocket where my credit card is in.
It's a great Jacket that serves me very well. A bit more expensive, but far more better than the imitations. Remember always: travel light and well prepared.
