The CPS-2T from Electro Voice is a commercial-grade stereo power amplifier that provides terrific audio quality and reliability in a robust rackmount design. The amplifier can operate in stereo and bridged modes, and has both low impedance and 25/70.7/100V compatibility. The unit offers both direct and transformer isolated phoenix outputs, which can be used simultaneously. Balanced XLR and phoenix input connectors provide wide compatibility with a variety of sound systems and devices.
To keep the amplifier running as smoothly as possible, the CPS-2T has a pair of 3-speed temperature-sensitive fans, as well as built-in limiters to prevent clipping. Sophisticated protection circuitry helps to guard the amplifier against damage from overload, overheating, shorts, DC faults, and radio interference. A ground-lift switch is provided to prevent hum caused by ground loops.
