I bought the case right before going on vacation. Lugged it around for three days straight. It's light weight and made very well out of high grade materials. The padding will protect the camera from light bumps and foul weather. I loved the three modes of carrying it. When my shoulder got tired I carried it by the handle, when I needed my hands I simply put it on as a fanny pack. I also loved the combination of velcro and zipper closure. Made taking out the camera and putting it back in very quick and hassle free. The zipper pouch was the perfect size for a battery charger and a cleaning cloth. The only possible improvement I could think of would be to make the case a little stiffer to provide an even higher level of protection. I am very pleased with the purchase, especially for the price, and would not hesitate to recommend it.

This is an excellent case for protecting the camera from both weather and bumps. But I would re-design the location of its sling swivels. My Canon EOS 5D is a heavy beast. When I sling the bag around my neck, I'd like to be able to zip the bag closed with the camera, and sling inside. I can do so, but my camera is heavy enough that the bag, when zipped, wants to tilt back into my gut from the top. That makes it ungainly. What I have begun doing, as an alternative, is hanging both the bag sling and the camera sling around my neck, then closing the bag with its little Velcro patch in front. In one sense, I've added a second level of dropped-camera prevention safety by having two slings around my neck, but I feel like I'm swathed in nylon (gives me a funny tan line, ya know?). I need the bag because I shoot mostly on rigorous outback hikes, but I'll keep my eyes peeled for another that may deploy better for my particular needs.

Comments about Canon Zoom Pack 1000 Holster Case:
Bought this for my 16 yr. old son to take his Lumix G1 (small dslr) to take pics for HS newspaper. He looked 'lame' with the big camera bag. This has a belt and shoulder strap. For small DSLRs like the micro 4/3 lines, you can get the 200MM lens with room to spare...extra pouch fits a filter or 2. This could easily fit a larger camera..obviously made for Canon's line. GREAT PRICE!!!

My Canon Rebel T1i fits perfectly, plus a pocket for extra battery and memory cards works great.
Very well made. Plus I like the different ways you can carry it.
Hip-pak, shoulder, or by the handle.

Replaced a holster that could be worn around the waist or accross the sholder.
It does seem larger than the one it replaces, but otherwise a great case

Comments about Canon Zoom Pack 1000 Holster Case:
This bag has enough protective coverage for my 60D without being bulky- exactly what I was looking for. My lens is an 18-135 and the entire camera/lens combo fits just perfectly. There's just enough room for my battery charger in the outside pocket, and another zip pocket inside the main compartment for quick guides or other small necessities. Someday I may need more space if I buy more lenses but for the money, this bag is a perfect choice for a starter set-up like mine.

Comments about Canon Zoom Pack 1000 Holster Case:
I was looking for a good quality case to protect my T1i but that was still small enough to fit in my backpack so I can easily carry it around with me when I go to work or visit friends. This case fits my T1i with a zoom lens and I can also carry a few batteries and SDHC cards. It also comes with a nice shoulder strap. Also, although this is not very important, it is an original Canon product (with the logo on top), so it goes well with the camera. For this price, you really can't go wrong.

This is a real nice case for a camera like the EOS7D. The camera fits nicely without a lot of extra bulk. I had a similar Tamrac case which became waterlogged in the rain. This case has a nice belt which can easily be tucked away. I use the case with the camera strap around my neck and the belt around my waist so it works while riding a motorcycle etc.
Be careful in that Canon makes 2 cases like this. You need the bigger one for the 7D or 50D. The smaller one sells for around $20 and the bigger one for around $25.

I bought this for my Canon T2i with Canon 28-135mm lens attached. It fits perfectly. It's an easy and compact way to carry the SLR and lens when you don't need extra lenses. [...]

This bag fits my Canon T1i with 18 - 135 mm zoom lens attached perfectly! And there's even room to include my battery charger with extra battery. And I really like using it like a fanny pack so I can easily access my camera just by flipping open the top cover. No need to unzip a large flap - just undo the velcro and presto - the camera is ready for action!

Comments about Canon Zoom Pack 1000 Holster Case:
This was perfect for what I was needing. I needed something that would travel well, and also something that would work with back packing and hiking. Holster is solid and the extra versatility of being belt mounted or even using the belt with it comes in very handy. I have a Canon XSI and this is perfect for it, even up to a telephoto lens as long as it's not too massive. It's a shame these cameras don't come with holster bags anymore, the only negative I could post here is that this bag should have come with the camera.

I got this case to use with a Rebel T2i. From I had read I thought it would be a good fit for the camera and my Canon 70-300 IS lens. This combination does fit, but just barely. The camera does fit well with the 100mm 2.8L macro lens. Finally, it comes with a waist strap, but not a neck strap, though you can add one. I'd recommend this bag mainly to people with don't have long zooms.

The perfect size holster case when you just want to take the camera body and one lens and a few accessories on a day trip; when you don't need to take the gadget bag. Very well made and sturdy.

Well padded. I use the movable seperator as extra padding. Fits my XSI an 28-135 lens with room to spare. I like the belt loop but the shoulder strap is a bit slippery.
