The Digital Flash Kit provides a complete, inexpensive flash solution for most digital cameras. It can be used either as a slave flash, via the hot shoe, or with the included PC sync cord.
The flash can be set to Manual mode, Auto Thyristor mode (Auto f/stops selectable by user), or Wireless Auto Slave mode. Because most digital cameras have a series of rapid pre-flashes before actually taking the shot, this flash is programed to only fire 200 milliseconds after the initial burst, making it compatible with most digital camera models.

Unfortunately, the instructions were just toooooo confusing. We were never able to figure out how to use it. Had to return it.

Comments about Sunpak Digital Flash:
Pros- inexpensive
Cons- slow to recycle, not very versitile
Overall- you get what you pay for. I didn't want to spend the money on an SB600 yet, so I got this instead. I wish I would have purchased a long sync cable when I ordered the flash. The sync cable included is about 8 inches long.

Comments about Sunpak Digital Flash:
Very good flash , easy to operate as a slave flash.I use with together a Hama bracket as a second flash with my Sony A200.
As this flash is small and light to carry ,it is very useful combined with the pop-up camera flash
In indoor shot the result is great !

Comments about Sunpak Digital Flash:
Used it as a slave for flash fill in those "emergencies." It worked great for about 40 pictures, but now the light sensor reacts so slow to my main flash, my camera never catches its light. I've tried changing batteries, cleaning the battery contacts, and even the light sensor itself and it still doesn't work right. It does, however, still work properly when seated on a hot shoe.
