This 3x loupe's large viewing field of 7x7cm offers excellent edge to edge sharpness with absolutely no distortion. These Schneider magnifiers have been redesigned to provide an accurate image over a larger eye-to-loupe distance range. The neck strap assembly has been redesigned as well in order to provide a stronger, more secure attachment.

I use this magnifier for viewing slides and negatives on a light table. The optics are superb and distortion free. The adjustable focus is a plus.

Comments about Schneider 3x Magnifier for 6x7:
This magnifier is impeccably sharp with excellent contrast and lives up to the Schneider name for quality. I got it for viewing the Hasselblad XPan negatives and slides, which are nearly 7 cm wide, which makes this loupe perfect. The neck strap broke off just by putting the loupe back in the box. I don't mind this since I never use one anyway, but is a quirky part of an otherwise great product. It's also the perfect size to view the LCD screen on my Canon 5D MKII, although I don't use it for that purpose much.

Comments about Schneider 3x Magnifier for 6x7:
I use this for looking at negatives and chromes on a light box. I also use it to look at prints with the translucent base. That does not snap onto the rest of the housing positively, which is annoying given the price. Optically, it is sharp and bright edge to edge.

Comments about Schneider 3x Magnifier for 6x7:
I use this loupe to view my shots on the LCD on the back of my Nikon D3. I used a smaller Schneider 4x for my Canon MkII.
The first problem is that the rubber neck strap came unglued from just picking it up! I reglued it and within three days cracks developed in the rubber strap, (it is about 1/8 inch and round, very small) I drilled out the rubber from the metal and glued in a shoe lace. Works fine now. I think companies sometimes make something with little or no field use before it goes out to the public.
