From a design point of view, I wish the part that connected to the strobe head quick-released from the part that the light modifier spokes plug into. If they were designed this way, the light modifier could be much more easily moved from one mfgrs head to another and wouldn't require so many pieces.

The Profoto end of this ring, the rubberized portion with the clamp, is not perfectly Round. It is slightly egg-shaped. I have two, and they are both alike. I belive the one made by Chimera IS Round but it is, off course, more expensive.
The Photoflex Ring works, but to me, the egg shape is a little annoying.

Comments about Photoflex Speed Ring for Profoto:
It's cheap but you get what you pay for. Unfortunately these are not round but oval in shape and are harder to put on and take off, especially when you have a large softbox attached. I will not buy another and they won't be the first ring I reach for in my kit. I own a couple of rings by Profoto and they are much better.

Comments about Photoflex Speed Ring for Profoto:
This speedring is solidly build, smooth alloy casting, no sharp edges. The locking rubber ring goes on my flash head easily. The price is a little higher that other brands, but it is worth paying the extra for the superior quality from Profoto. This product will even be better if it has quick release.

Comments about Photoflex Speed Ring for Profoto:
I gave this a 5 star rating because of the quality/price comparison with the same ring from Profoto. The quality here isn't quite like that of the Profoto ring, and when I received it, the rubber collar was not perfectly round, and had to be muscled over the light housing. However, it works well, and is certainly less expensive.

Comments about Photoflex Speed Ring for Profoto:
I'm very pleased with the quality and price of this product. I have a number of Profoto softboxes and the price of this speedring is definitely a consideration, and I don't see any notable difference in the quality or durability from the Profoto line.
