Lee 105mm Circular Polarizer Filter - Anyone involved in photography knows that Lee is a top-quality name in filtration. Whether for lighting or cameras, resin or gel, Lee makes filters for all scenarios. Their reputation is impeccable and they also are characterized by high standards for customer service.
Light rays which are reflected become polarized. Polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colors providing better contrast. The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and changed by rotating the filter. The filter factor varies according to how the filter is rotated and its orientation to the sun. Filter factor is between 2.3 and 2.8 (approx. +1.3 stops).
If you're out walking on a lovely day - in the mountains or at the beach - and you want to get a fabulous shot of a cloud-filled sky or make the water seem more saturated, then a polarizer is the way to go. This filter is the best way to make the clouds stand out, increase or decrease the saturation of the ocean or increase or decrease the reflection off the water. You can also use this filter when shooting into glass or windows since it will, again, either increase or decrease reflections.
If you're shooting black and white and want to simulate a threatening storm, try throwing on a #25 Red filter. The vista will take on the appearance of an imminent, ominous storm.
Along with a UV or Skylight Filter, a polarizing filter should be a part of everyone's gear bag. It can turn a run-of-the-mill image into a stunning, creative photo by increasing color saturation.
Note! For use with 105mm Accessory Front Thread Adapter Ring #LEFP105). Circular polarizers are specifically designed for use with auto-focus SLR cameras (They will also work on manual systems and video cameras without problems).

Comments about LEE Filters 105mm Circular Polarizer Filter:
I use this polarizer along with ND filters for long exposure photography. The Lee filters are a joy to use; they are all so well constructed and this 105mm circular polarizer is no different. I have held off for a long time from buying simply because it is such a large investment but so far I have not regretted it when I see the results.A 105mm lens cap should be included.

This is a great polarizer for the Lee filter system. I wouldn't use any other filter or system.

This is for use with the Lee filter holder plus accessory ring. The set-up is far more rugged than anything I have used and plenty large enough to avoid vignetting.

Comments about LEE Filters 105mm Circular Polarizer Filter:
After having used a filter holder polariser from another high level supplier, I was amased at the robustness and workmanship of the Lee filter. Highly recommended. However one has to watch for vignetting if using it with an extreme wide angle lens.

Comments about LEE Filters 105mm Circular Polarizer Filter:
I love this polarizer. And I love that it mounts on the front of the Lee Filter system. One less thing to mess with. And I'm amazed at how few stops of light I lose with this polarizer. Loving it!

Comments about LEE Filters 105mm Circular Polarizer Filter:
This is a great polarizer that works with the Lee Foundation kit. The only thing annoying about this is that it has been tricky to find the circular adapter ring that screws onto the foundation kit to allow you to attach the polarizer (until recently). The 105mm polarizer allows you to adjust this without changing the orientation of the filter holder so you can use this with ND grads without any problems.
