Cutters are square or rectangular frames with mounting pins attached. Used to control natural or artificial light. Can be used to protect the camera lens from flares, control spill light from other sources, or keep light from reaching an area on the set.
Floppies are Cutters which have an extra layer of material sewn to one edge and held in place with Touch Fastener until needed at which time the Cutter becomes twice its original size
Newly designed 90° Cutter frames will make it possible to position the instrument over the top of the set wall or to use two or more units to create a box for better light control.

Comments about Matthews 48x48" Floppy Cutter - Bottom Hinge:
These 4X4 "Floppies" are industry standard grip equipment. Not only do they help control light, but they're also great for masking talent and providing a quick shade for playback monitors. They are built well and mount in a C-stand easily. The pull down 4x4 square gives a total mask area of 48" x 96"
