The Billingham Hadley Pro Shoulder Bag (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim) is a waterproof canvas bag with a photo insert included. The bag can double as a business case or a slightly posh beach bag. The Hadley Pro will accommodate A4 files and a small laptop computer. Constructed of waterproofed canvas with high density closed cell foam throughout, they have a thin profile and a compressible nature to let the weight always stay close to your torso. There are two gusseted front pockets that expand and close with quick-acting press studs. Insides are divided and can be rearranged as needed, or remove the padding to make the Hadley a conventional bag.

Comments about Billingham Hadley Pro Shoulder Bag (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim):
Some might (understandably) balk at the cost of the bag, but its fantastic build quality and aesthetic appeal compared to normal camera bags will appeal to many. This is ideal for street shooting, with room for a pro-grade DSLR, an external flash unit, and one or two lenses in the main compartment, with spacious (and expandable) outer pockets as well.
It is a bit small for a 15" laptop (which will fit if you remove the inner compartment's padding, but then you can't protect your camera) but can comfortably hold an iPad or netbook either in the outer pocket or behind the camera bag.
Bottom line: it is well-constructed, good looking, and covered by a reasonable manufacturer's warranty. This is not the best bang for your buck in terms of utility, but great for someone looking for something that's not just your regular camera bag.

Comments about Billingham Hadley Pro Shoulder Bag (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim):
Yes it's expensive, but I've been really pleased with the bag since I got it a couple weeks ago. As others have said online, the materials and workmanship are superb. Also, it doesn't scream camera bag which I think is a positive.
It's definitely suited for carrying just the essentials. I usually pack a 7D with a 24mm prime attached, a 70-200mm F4 and a hotshoe flash.
One front pocket fits a lens cloth, spare battery, card reader, rechargeable AAs and extra CF cards. The other front pocket can hold keys, wallet, cellphone etc.
Behind the padded insert or inside the zipper pocket I carry a steno pad and pens.
The leather strap/buckle system works well and I also find the carry strap to be quite comfortable.

Comments about Billingham Hadley Pro Shoulder Bag (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim):
Amazing bag. There's a reason why a lot of people who have this raves about it. It doesn't look like a camera bag, but when you open it up, you find out it has quite a bit of space. For the price, it is well constructed with nice padding and finishing.
It can carry a body without grip + 2 big zoom lens in the main compartment (70-200 vr2 + 14-24 + d90 for example) The pouches on the front side can hold a flash or small prime each.
If you plan on carrying quite a bit for a period of time, make sure to grab the shoulder padding! Otherwise, this is my favourite bag.

Comments about Billingham Hadley Pro Shoulder Bag (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim):
I have been using this bag for everything, everyday. It's a great camera bag but also a great work bag. My only complaint is that I wish the insert was a little taller to accommodate my laptop, it fits but the top flap of the insert won't close.
It's a really sharp looking bag and I have gotten many compliments. I am very satisfied overall.

Comments about Billingham Hadley Pro Shoulder Bag (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim):
My main Q before buying was, Will it carry my stuff? Below is what I've found it comfortably to hold.
I configured the main compartment of the bag to fit a Nikon D7000 and small-to-medium lens in the center; a 24-70mm lens on one side; and, on the other side, a combination of a 35mm f/1.8 DX (above) and 10-24mm DX (below).
One of the outer pockets holds a SB-700 flash (a bit precariously, as the the outer pockets are not padded) with plenty of room to spare; the other contains filters and extra batteries.
I've not yet used the interior or exterior sleeves on the back side.
It's a handsome, durable bag which is slim against one's side while containing a remarkably large amount of equipment. It's comfortable to carry, and easy to open and close. Highly recommended.

Comments about Billingham Hadley Pro Shoulder Bag (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim):
I have thought a long time before buying this bag. I finally got it and have no regrets. It comfortably fits a 5D mark ii with a standard zoom mounted, a 70-200, and a couple more small primes. Quality is very good. Being a reasonably slim bag, it is very comfortable to carry. The top handle can be very useful too.

Comments about Billingham Hadley Pro Shoulder Bag (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim):
Functional, strong, good size, discrete, smart and worth every cent.
The only reason I do not give this 5.5 stars, is that 1) B&H do not allow this and b) the shoulder strap should have come with a pad. However the National Geographic shoulder pad that B&H sells does the job rather well.
The removable insert is perfect to fit a camera and two decent sized Canon L lenses, as long as I do not stick the additional battery pack on my 5D mkII.
Having looked for the 'perfect shoulder bag' for camera gear and my MacBookAir 11"....this is the bag!

Comments about Billingham Hadley Pro Shoulder Bag (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim):
The Hadley Pro is a beautiful bag. The canvas is very smooth and soft, but not floppy. The handle is very useful and should be added to other bags in the Hadley line. It will fit a DSLR (without grip), full size flash, and an extra lens such as the Canon 24-70 2.8 with hood reversed (very fat lens) all side by side with the dividers although it is slightly a tight fit. This bag needs to add an additional half to one inch in length. The width of the bag is slim and your DSLR will cause a bulge (which shortens the length of the bag). The two front pockets can fit a lot of small items if you stuff them, but that's not ideal. I don't like to pile my things into one compartment. The back pocket has very limited space so it can only be used for a very select few items.
It is important to note that the color of the khaki varies in different lighting. In most photos, the khaki looks lighter than it actually looks indoors. I think this would be an excellent bag if it were just slightly bigger. Billingham should also include the shoulder strap pad for the price... it's kind of ridiculous that it's not included.

It works great with my Panasonic GF1 plus 3 lenses. It made in England that's why it is more expensive than others.

I use this bag for my canon 7D. It's the perfect size for shooting stills but when I need to shoot video, it can be a little challenging.

Very nice looking and well wearing bag. It can take a DSLR and a couple of lenses, but it's a bit of a squeeze. It's an ideal size for my m43 gear.

Comments about Billingham Hadley Pro Shoulder Bag (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim):
With the addition of a new lens, my trusted Billingham camera bag that came with the Leica Safari kit simply ran out of space. The Hadley Pro with the additional Avea pouch easily handles my current Leica M8.2, 4 lenses and assorted cables and charger allowing plenty of room to grow. There is even room for an IPAD or the new 11" MAC BOOK AIR. Well constructed of top quality materials and the hand sewn craftsmanship really shows. Don't forget to add the optional padded leather strap. Fully loaded it begins to to feel hefty but never large or awkward.

Comments about Billingham Hadley Pro Shoulder Bag (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim):
I can't express how happy this bag makes me! I've been working with a Lowepro bag that just doesn't fully accomodate my Hasselblad outfit, which is a pretty small outfit to be honest. What I love about the Hadley Pro is it's very narrow. For me, that was one of the biggest factors in it's favor--I wanted a bag I could take almost everywhere and really not worry about it bumping into everything and everyone.
It also looks really nice and stylish, like a messenger bag, so I don't feel awkward being in public with it, as like everyone else mentions, it doesn't scream "camera bag." It does of course, scream "wealth!" but oh well.
The bag perfectly fits my Hasselblad in one of the three compartments (lens down) and it's very easy to open the bag and grab my camera with a few moments notice--quite a bit faster than my old bag. There's enough room for two lenses, one on either side, as well as lens hoods, etc. I store my film, light meters, and other small accessories in the front pockets, which can hold so much I'm almost tempted to put more in them.
I purchased the new sp40 shoulder pad to go with the bag (which is very comfortable), which I wish was included in the purchase price of the bag, which admittedly is quite expensive. However, the big inspires confidence and is well-crafted. It's quite waterproof too--I took it on one of those river raft/inner-tube rides at an amusement park and we got sprayed directly by a water canon, but everything inside the bag was dry despite all the water on the exterior.
I don't regret my decision to spend this much on a camera bag one bit--I know it'll be around for a while, taking good care of my beloved camera.

I bought tris bag to use it as a multipurpose bag when I also want to carry my camera with me. It is very well padded and has plenty space for my check book, keys and all the stuff I use to have with me. I laso bought a shoulder strap which I believe is very important in order to feel it confortable. It is a beatiful handbag usable in many different ways. I am very glad with my new bag.

Comments about Billingham Hadley Pro Shoulder Bag (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim):
I have owned many photo bags, but this is the best bag purchase I've ever made. First of all, it looks fantastic - and doesn't have "PHOTO" written all over it. More importantly, it's spacious without being bulky. I rarely find shoulder bags of this width that are less than 20 cm deep. This makes it very easy to carry, as well as being a stylish option. Inside I could fit my EOS 40D, Canon 24-70 L, Sigma 10-20 EX and Canon 75-300 - and still have room for odds and ends. I use one of the outer pockets for my flash, and the other for remote shutter, grey cards, filters, etc. In the back pocket you can comfortably fit a netbook or a small laptop. In other words, there's a lot of space in this small and stylish bag.
