This paper is very versatile. What I really like about it is the fact that it is luster. Glossy is too shiny, and matte seems like it's missing something, but Luster gives your photos a nice texture. Fingerprints are also less noticable. Whatever size paper you're using, Epson Luster is just awesome. I use this paper with an epson printer and the quality is superb. The colors are vibrant and true. I use it for everything, from personal photos to professional photos. They say the paper is instant drying, which I guess is true to a certain extent. Nothing smears or smudges coming right from the printer, but when I took photo classes, my photo teachers would always tell us to lay the photos out flat to dry for a day, so the ink sets making the photo last longer.
But as I said, the best thing about this luster paper is the subtle texture.

I print fine art landscape photos and reproductions of oil paintings on this paper and both look great. The luster finish provides exactly the right kind of texture for deep blacks without too much shine. I have used hundreds of sheets of this paper.
The 8.5" x 11" sheets are very convenient for the 3880 Epson printer which cannot take rolls.

I have been using Ultra Premium Luster Photo Paper 13 X 19 for several months so I am already familiar with its quality. This is an excellent paper with a surface similar to traditional photo prints. I am mainly printing b&w and multi-tone images on an Epson 4880. I get a very wide tonal range with crisp detail and consistant output. Subjects range from hard product, urban enviornment, landscapes and portrait. My color work is primarily portrait and again results are very good. Inks dry quickly with no issues of smudging and I've never had a problem with paper jamming. I highly recommend this paper for a great price to quality value.

Epson's Premium photo papers are excellent for my school work. I print all my photos with the luster finish. There's no other professional quality photo paper out there for such a great value. I've never had a problem printing with this paper, unlike other brands.

4/5stars simply because I know there are better papers out there. Overall, Epson's Luster series gives me consistent, high-end results regardless fo b&W or color. While I have about 8-9 "go-to" papers for various art prints, Epson Luster is the gold standard for client work.

The Epson Ultra Premium Luster paper has worked pretty wonderfully for me so far. It's not too glossy that it distorts the pictures, but not so matte that it detracts color from the print. It's great for a beginner like myself who isn't used to working with digital printing a lot, so this gives me a nice base to start from as far as what kinds of papers I like and don't like. I haven't really used it enough to discover the things I don't like about it yet, and hopefully there really won't be anything I don't enjoy about it. All in all a great paper.

I hadn't used any other photo paper besides the usual glossy or matte paper before now. Neither were to my liking. A teacher suggested to get the EPSON luster paper, and it's made me photos look great! I mostly use it for black and white prints(makes them look a lot more richer on paper than on the computer screen!) and I recently printed in color. There seemed to be an interesting luminous sheen on the paper, which I really liked! Although it's not a cheap paper, I would definitely recommend it. You get what you pay for, and more!
