Novoflex, a small company in zealous pursuit of perfection for the persnickety, has invented a unique new flash system which uses three decidedly different light sources linked by a common generator. Several flash shoe adapters allow full compatibility with a host of popular camera systems. In macro flash, the relatively huge variances in effect from relatively small movements becomes a real nuisance for determining an accurate exposure. There isn't a system which accurately evaluates the complexities of macro exposure as simply as TTL metering. With TTL metering at all apertures, stunning results are possible by employing devices (such as narrow-latitude, supersharp slide films) with little room for error-even with moving subjects.
The Ring Flash has an 18" cord that attaches to the Novoflex generator. The unit will directly attach to a 52mm filter thread, or can be used with other sized lenses by way of a stepping ring. Ring Flash produces shots that are defined by their shadowless, flat lighting with little contrast. This is very desireable in the macro world, and a ringlight is an indispensable tool for any closeup shooter.
