Comments about Nikon Focusing Screen E3 for FM3A:
I bought this for my FM2N. There appears to be a 1/3 stop difference between the stock K2 screen and this E3 screen, but I would recommend trying for yourself to see what works for your paticular camera (I don't bother dialing in exposure compensation because my FM2N tended to overexpose a little bit anyway).
My E3 screen came with NO instuctions or documentation of any kind, so you should either refer to your camera manual or check online before you start poking around inside your mirror box! The screen came in a case with a nifty pair of tweezers, and it even has an extra slot to place your other screen during changing.
I love this screen; the grid is very useful, but it doesn't get in the way when I'm not using it. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to focus properly without a split prism, but I've found I do just fine without (I have pretty good eyesight though; test for yourself).
