I use this strap with my point-and-shoot camera, instead of the dainty wrist straps that typically accompany point-and-shoots.
Great features:
-larger size makes it quicker to get your wrist through it (and hence more likely to do so)
-fast and easy adjustment to tighten the strap to your wrist for those activities during which you really think the camera might slip
-the neoprene has enough give so should the camera slip it doesn't jerk your arm like a regular strap would
-quick disconnect (QD) feature in case you find the strap and camera to large to fit into a smaller pocket
One (very) minor gripe:
While the loop which attaches to the camera is fairly small, it won't thread easily through the tiniest of camera holders. I worked around this by attaching a fishing line to the loop and using that to thread it through the camera holder. To be fair, the strap may not have been intended for use on very small cameras, but I find it much better to use than an official, dainty strap.

I am giving this 3 stars as a compromise. It is a great wrist strap for heavy items (5 stars), but I would say that it is unsuitable to most modern, small digital cameras (1 star). Want a strap that bulks over the camera? Buy this. However it does cure a pet peeve of a lot of photographers. Why have all of the camera manufacturers removed the adjustable piece from wrist straps? It is small, unobtrusive, and does no one any harm. It can save a camera from rolling down from the wrist. It must add all of 10 cents to the camera's manufacturing cost[...]I looked through several manufacturers and found that Olympus still includes an adjuster. I replaced this strap with the Olympus digital camera strap. It works well, but has Olympus written in two places.

This is a great wrist strap for a Micro 4 Thirds camera; light, flexible easy to put on and take off. It may be a little hot on the wrist but that seems insignificant. Good product.

I bought this for my Panasonic GF2 with 20mm f1.7 lens. I bought this camera as a small, light supplement to my DSLR system. The neck strap seemed to add too much bulk so I decided to try a wrist strap and I'm glad I went with this one. The others I looked at were geared towards smaller/lighter point and shoots. I feel totally secure using this with my setup and I love the quick-release strap when the camera in on a tripod. The strap is very comfortable and sliding adjustment ring is a nice touch to keep the strap tight on your wrist.

Used with LX5. Well made strap. Very comfortable. Fair price. The drawback for me is its overall length. The camera does not fall readily to hand.

I would of given a 5 star rating, but the strap is a little on the small side. I have small hands and it it a snug fit over my hand.

I use this strap with my Nikon P7000. The strap allows me to easily reach for as well as store my camera into a Tamrac 5693 camera case, which was much more difficult with the Nikon neck strap the camera came with. Used it on a recent hiking trip and had no problems.

About the right size but I didn't care for the material the strap was made out of. Its some sort of flexible foam and looks cheap to me.

I love this strap. I use it for my micro 4/3 camera, and it is so much more comfortable than a neck strap. I highly recommend it for a point and shoot or micro four thirds.

This is a great strap for the price. the neoprene is so comfortable, and the cord seems entirely sufficient to manage the wait of the camera. I use it on a Canon G12, which i carry on a waste clipped camera case.

It's a comfortable strap but I don't like the quick release buckle, seems to add more bulk to the strap. I use it on my Lumix LX5.

I was very pleasantly surprised when the product arrived and I opened the package - MUCH better quality than I had expected or the price indicated. The strap is nicely padded and secures easily to the camera. There is sort of a handle on my camera which will suffice for most situations so the strap is a back-up in case it slips out of my hand - therefore, the adjustability of it is welcomed.

I enjoy using this wrist strap and will never go back to the neck strap for my point and shoot Canon G12 (I would not use this strap for my DSLR). It can be snugged down for a perfect fit around your wrist and the camera and strap can still be stuck in one's pant's pocket, when not in use.

I got this strap for my new LX5. The usual skinny straps didn't give me much confidence when holding the camera. This strap is thick and sturdy, and it can be cinched up around my wrist. The QD allows me to easily switch to a different Op/Tech strap if I like.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Cam Strap-QD (Black):
This is a very nicely made strap, no doubt about it. It's well padded, comfy on the wrist and has the convenient quick disconnect. Typical build quality that you would expect from Op-tech.
I had bought this thinking I could use it on a point and shoot camera but it's way too big IMO. For a camera of diminutive size this strap completely overpowers it and defeats the whole purpose of having a pocketable camera. I think this strap would be best suited on a small DSLR such as a Canon Rebel but as for my point and shoots, alas the search continues for a truly perfect wrist strap.

I thought this might be too large for my LX3 but after receiving and using the wrist strap, I will never go back to using the small, OEM straps again. The neoprene is extremely comfortable, and the quick release is robust enough that I have no doubt it will never release accidentally. This is an excellent product and easily worth the small price of admission.
