OP/TECH USA Hood Hat, X-Large
The OP/TECH USA Hood Hat, X-Large is designed to fit a lens and shade with a diameter from approximately 4.5-5.5". Simply placing the Hood Hat onto the front of the hood while in place will provide just as much protection for the critical front lens elements as would be provided by a traditional lens cap. The neoprene material will adjust to fit both round and elliptical "petal-type" shades.

I have found that the sizing on these is quite large and in my case using Canon lenses and Canon Hoods that going one size below the recommended size seems to work better. The recommended size seems to slip off too easily.
I like the attachment point on the hood and I use this with a quick release strap system to enable me to change the hood with the lens quickly while keeping the strap attached to the camera.

I got this to protect the business end of an old Nikon 400/3.5. It's a perfect fit, i.e., it requires a little stretch to get it on--so it stays on.
