Kinetronics Cleaning Kit for Flatbed Scanners
The Kit is ideal for removing fingerprints and dust from glass scanner beds. The Kit also removes dust and lint from negatives, transparencies and slides prior to scanning. Photos, documents and various other types of media can also be cleaned to remove debris prior to scanning.

I use the scanner cleaner to clean my scanner (big shock) which I use to scan 8x10 negatives. The scanner cleaner is an anti static cloth and an anti static brush. Unless you have a fingerprint on your negative - seems like canned air works just as well and is much cheaper.

The little brush is a perfect size for 35mm negatives and I just blew it off with a rocket blower between negatives. The cloth did a great job of getting dust and cat hairs off the flatbed. Worked really well at minimzing dust and fibers (and cat hairs) on the scans.

This is a basic kit, but very useful if you are going to re-mount and scann slides. I had some very old slides and it cleaned smudges without scratching and eliminated all the dust. I recommend re-mounting, though, for old slides.
