Photogenic C4-15C Flashtube, UV Coated - for PL1250, PL1250DR, PL1250LH, PL300DR Monolights - Clear
The standard, clear, UV Coated flashtube for the Photogenic PL2 Series monolights.
Most current, professional flash heads and monolights are equipped with user replaceable flashtubes that may simply be plugged into, and unplugged from their sockets. With proper handling, these flashtubes may last for tens of thousands of flashes under normal use.
This flashtube is UV-Coated, or UV-Corrected. UV flashtubes have a yellow appearance, and they counteract the excess blue 5700° or higher output of non-UV coated flashtubes. UV Coating lowers the color temperature to 5500°, which is the color of noon daylight on a clear day.

My old set of 4 Photogenic 1250DR studio strobes worked ok, but buying new flash tubes and replacing all four at the same time has made my workflow easier and my shooting more consistent always. The color temp out of all the units is consistent between all the lights, and from shot to shot. A little pricey, but definitely worth the money.

I use this product for portraiture, on location photography in a set of PL1250's and I love the color temperature of the bulbs with the UV coating, worth the extra couple of bucks but not a huge difference. What I don't like about the tube is how easy they are to crack, seems like any jolt and there goes a [$] tube.
