Impressively small and light when not in use, the Hakuba Branner BR-5-CBL Tripod extends to a great height considering its small compacted size. Very popular as a travel tripod for most small SLR cameras or camcorders, it has a center brace support, a geared column, and a simple pan/tilt head with quick release

Comments about Hakuba Branner BR-5-CBL 5-Section Tripod (Blue):
First things first - this is not a "pro" quality triod although I do not think it is purporting itself to be.But, for what it lacks in ease of use, it can give you a very sharp picture given its claim of supporting five pounds. My K10D and 16-50 weigh in at about that, maybe a little less and this tripod kept it all nice and steady. At about two pounds it is lightweight (great for backpacking) and sets up pretty fast but the three-way head is a little cumbersome to operate. It feels cheap and I am not sure how well it'd do under any abuse what with is plastics parts and all.The quick release plate works as intended. This is a nice touch. The lightweight quality here comes at a price - its height. It is just too short. Without raising the center column it is maybe 36 inches high. I found that it was easier to lower the tripod even from that height and then kneel. Not real comfortable but better than all hunched over as my back would suffer greatly.Bottom line? A lightweight tripod to use when your main heavy tripod is just that - just too darn heavy to carry. Can give sharp results. At less than [$], it is worth it. Just worth it.
