It is important to use blades from original manufacturer. Some other aftermarket products, while cheaper, just don't work as well. It is also important to keep the track clean...what may appear to be a poorly performing blade is usually tiny bits of crud that accumulate in the cutting groove.

This blade is so sharp and it stays sharp seems like for ever,It cuts threw 10 sheets of paper like butter,it is fast and cuts a smooth line every time.
I use this cutting everything I need for my crafting,(paper) chip board,plastic,There is nothing bad about this blade,and the price is out of this world,I will come back when I need more.

I use this blade in an RT200. It is a great cutter and does a good job on photos and scrap booking tasks.

The "Straight" Pattern Craft Blade by Carl is definitely a cut above the rest.
I have used similar blades, but Carl lasts the longest without ever tearing or pulling paper. My mat was severely cracked and the blade still managed to cut with precision. I would recommend this blade to everyone.

I had a Carl heavy duty 11" rotary trimmer that had served me well for years. But, lately it wasn't cutting very well. The edges on all photo papers were coming out very raggedy. I ordered a new blade from B&H, who had the item in stock[...] and when installed, it was like having a new paper cutter. It cost [$], and saved me spending $40 for a new paper cutter. I would definitely go this route again.
